CW’s Flash Cast Meets Hipster Flash at Comic-Con
By Brian Walton on August 11, 2014
We’re pretty excited for The CW’s The Flash. Coming to TV this fall, the series will reintroduce viewers to Barry Allen while he finds his footing as the fastest man alive. We didn’t think we could handle reporting from the Flash press line at Comic-Con International by ourselves, so we called in a super assist from Hipster Flash. From singing a Flash theme song with Jesse Martin to confronting Grant Gustin on his perfect secret identity alias, this press line had a little bit of everything.
The executive producers were on hand to explain the elements they are infusing the show with to get a classic Flash series on screen. The new show will heavily feature the book’s original reliance on science, Barry Allen’s guilt and the oft overlooked ingredient in truly great Flash stories, time travel. Watch the video above to find out how the producers built the show, Danielle Panabaker’s thoughts on what came before and who John Wesley Shipp thinks James Van Der Beek should play when a Dawson’s Creek reunion happens amongst The Rogues.
Stay tuned to Nerdist.com for the latest on The Flash, Arrow, Gotham and all of the comic-based TV headed your way this fall.
