CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE – A New Direction for the Series?
By Malik Forté on August 12, 2014
When it comes to big budget, triple A titles that get a bad rap in the public eye, you’d be hard pressed to not hear Call of Duty brought up in discussion. I can’t blame folks for their displeasure, either: the leap in innovation from game to game has been minuscule at best for the last several installments of the series. But there’s a hero on the way who’s dead set on getting the series back on course, and his name is Advanced Warfare.
Today on Nerdist: Play, I give you my opinion of the Call of Duty series from where it’s been, to where I believe it’s going as we move forward — but not before checking out a snippet of the recent live action Super Smash Bros. tournament that hit the web a few days ago.
I asked folks on twitter what the best first-person shooter ever, and here are a few of the prestigious answers that didn’t make it into today’s episode:
@Malik4Play Old school Perfect Dark(you forgot to exclude that one haha), Far Cry Predator, Timesplitters, this is quite hard, tell ulater
