  • As a former Indoor Kids listener, Emily can be shockingly catty (re: Anthony’s point above). On I think their 100th show she made a point, completely without provocation, of saying that she never listened to a show when Ali Baker was the co-host. Which is just bizarre and hurtful, and there’s no reason to say it except to be hurtful and catty. Kumail and Steve Agee had no idea what to make of it.

It’s especially catty because Ali Baker is much younger and more attractive than Emily and as far as I can tell that’s the only reason to be antagonistic. She’s also a *MUCH* better podcast host, though those early shows overall weren’t as good because Kumail (who is hilarious, obviously) was still finding his legs both hosting and in terms of broader gaming awareness.

  • Weird the name’s bleeped out when the guy was on YMIW previously telling the same story! What a shitty move, introducing him as a friend. Poor bastard should’ve ditched her cold right there.

  • I dunno Anthony, I’ve listened to every episode of the Indoor Kids and it seems like Emily is a sex-positive feminist minded person. I can’t recall her ever talking down to another woman as a hoe or dirty, especially not for enjoying sex.

  • Emily really irritates me sometimes. She’s always on a mission to put down female celebs and call them out for actionsng sexual or what they wear. Then when Pete wants to talk about girls Boobs and bootys jiggling she chimes in and wants to be included in the hot girl group convo. Seriously stop with the random hating on female celebs Emily. I always enjoy the podcast until she starts ranting about some female she thinks is a hoe or dirty for whatever shallow reason.

  • Please, please, please when you interview Jonah Ray, ask him about trying out being a ventriloquist with a dummy in blackface. There has to be a funny back story.

  • Pete, why must you and your compatriots assault my funny bone with such thunderous hilarity and charm, I’m calling it now. This is the best YMIW of the year, or at the very least, it’s a nominee for the best.

This episode was so good, that after it was over my world felt less magical.

  • I’d like to get Renee Gauthier on the podcast (regular version) sometime, I’m a fan. I don’t know how often she’s in LA, but…

Likewise, always good to hear Buteau. (and everyone else, but you get what I mean)

  • It is totally hilarious that *********** and ************ tell the same, extremely specific story in which they don’t mind name dropping the very famous bad guy in the story but refuse to say the name of their easily google-able former significant other. DAG should be the name they censor, not each other.

  • It was indeed a shoebox of a theater, amazing show though! Shame it had to be held to just (slightly over) an hour; that panel could’ve gone all night. Though then I would’ve missed Chelsea’s set, so maybe not :)
