  • This made me so happy this morning when it downloaded and saw the guest. I couldn’t wait to listen and it was everything I could have hoped for. Thanks for making this happen.

To see Chris in his GAH suit, here’s a photo from last year’s Sketchfest: http://goo.gl/IRnzRX

I’m currently in possession of an Instruction Book, so any super-suit Captain Gonzos had better contact me to brush up on what the suit does.

I happened to watch the trailer for “Sparks” over the weekend, not knowing anything about it. The iTunes description gave me an idea, but the trailer itself left me clueless because it was all over the place. I look forward to seeing the movie and hope it makes more sense all put together.

    “Burrito it or not,
    Im walking on air.
I never thought nerdist would make me feel so freeeeee
Listening away on a wing and a prayer
    who could it be?
Believe it or not its just me”

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!’

My all time fondest Halloween memory was from grade school when my mother handmade me my very own Greatest American Hero costume. Hands down the best and most talked about costume in school that day.

I cant WAIT to hear this one! Great get Chris!! Is it safe to assume that 45% of this podcast will be folks doing Robert Culp impressions trying to riff about loosing the instruction book? Yes? well done.

Not sure if it comes up, but William Katt’s horror/comedy movie “House” is a cult classic. Horror/comedy is a VERY tricky thing to pull off well…there’s only a handfull of flicks that have ever done it effectiely…House is one of them.

Peace .n. Looook at whats happppened to meeeeee

  • I’ve never seen Greatest American Hero, or even known about Billy Kat before this. Now I want to absorb everything the man has ever done. Love this podcast! It was so interesting!

  • loved this show when i was younger.

was shown on a saturday morning here in UK so was probably edited alot.

Katt has a great ability to play serious and comedic at the same time

  • One of the most traumatizing moments of my youth was singing “76 Trombones” as a solo in a school choir concert, and completely blanking halfway through. Just stood there like a deer in the headlights until the piano finished playing. Could have used William Katt there to bail me out!

  • I was channel surfing on Saturday, and came across a movie that was playing that William Katt was in and I wondered for a short second if you’d ever get to interview him on the podcast. I know you don’t believe in psychic stuff, but I’ve been having this type of thing happen a lot lately, and as long as it’s good things (it isn’t always good, but those are rare thankfully) I’m fine with it happening. I was hoping you’d post a current picture, but I’ll just have to google him.

  • Hardwick, I am deduction 5 of your nerd points and putting a mark on your permanent file for NOT EVEN MENTIONING the horror/comedy movie cult classic “House”.

Such an awesome MOVIE!!! Such great scenes and a great story.
    What the hecks??

I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul. Boooooooooo!!

  • @FR: OH FUCK!!! I will take the deduction. I fucking LOVED that movie! George Wendt! Richard Moll! It was a mashup of 3 people from 3 of my favorite shows! I can’t believe I forgot to ask about that. GODDAMMIT.

I will now shove a grenade in MY OWN rib cage. Fucking fuck. You were right to point this out! #shame

  • I’m so glad this is William Katt, and not Katt Williams. Even though I missed Greatest American Hero growing up, I still love the theme song. However, I keep singing the Seinfeld version by mistake, haha

  • GAH was favorite show that my Dad and I would watch together when I was a kid. Obviously it had a noticeable positive impact on a lot of us. Glad to see he’s had success pursuing his passions further, and yet isn’t so sick to the teeth of it to be bitter about it.

I mean, consider the mental gymnastics Shatner went through for 50 years, from doing 3 seasons of a failed sci-fi show at the beginning of his career… Ford for Star Wars, Zeppelin for Stairway… sometimes hits can really drive people a little mad.

Will definitely look up sparks and subterranea. Great Ep.

  • i was lucky enough to meet stephen j cannell at work and he and i did a spontaneous mock sword fight with office supplies. i loved william katt on greatest american hero and because of that i did watch the perry mason episodes with him. also the movie “house”. a very talented man. thanks for posting this!

  • Absolutely loved Greatest American Hero when I was a kid, and one of the best TV show theme songs ever! Thanks for the reminder. I went straight to Amazon and bought the MP3. William Katt has done a lot of great stuff over the years too.
