  • Apologies if  the last comment seemed rude. I totally forgot the whole reason I started listening. They’re just fun stories for me to listen at the end of the day. I guess starting off with science-y weird stuff in the beginning, my mind set changed a bit. Possibly because those types of things are processed through my brain all day long.

  • I will often have dreams or fragments of dreams that are very ordinary and common everyday events but very detailed.  For example, a friend commenting on a particular outfit of a particular passer by at a particular beach.  Upon waking I can vaguely recall the dreams.  However, weeks, months, or years later these situations will play out in my waking life exactly as they occured in the dream and I will have an intense sense of deja vu and suddenly recall every detail of the dream including the part unfolding at the moment.  I have always chalked up Deja Vu as our unconsious mind acknowledging dreams we have had that we forgot.

  • I wouldn’t be too excited to be thinking about living well above 102-05 Jessica. Not to make things depressing, but life expectancy has sadly fallen likely due to more mutations in cells DNA’s. (but not by a lot) Also our risen life expectancy has not been that high for the past 100-200 years. There’s a bit of a debate too because it has very likely not risen at all as infant mortality rates have significantly dropped. I would go on and on about other stuff that was mentioned, but I will not. I guess this podcast isn’t for someone like me. It is going to be fun to listen to from time to time. Have fun & take care

  • I have a personal theory about what Deja Vu is.

Have you ever experienced that thing where you are going about your day and you randomly remember that dream you had the night before? I tend to have that happen a lot. It has to do with that thing where you can sometimes forget your dreams after you wake up and begin your morning routine.

My theory is that Deja Vu is when your brain momentarily clicks into that memory of the dream you had the night before but it’s a flop. You almost remember it but the moment it clicks into place it clicks right back out and you’re left with that lingering familiarity of Deja Vu.

  • Deja vu is a restart point in your life like in a video game. So you died at some time in the future but since you still had a bonus life you went back to the closest restart point : )

  • The explanation for Deja Vu I’ve heard:
Your brain stores short and long term memory in different part of your brain, so after a short while your brain has to convert what’s in the short term memory bank to the long term. Sometimes it short circuits and sends what you’re experiencing straight to your long term memory, bypassing the short term.
The Deja Vu is your brain simultaneously experiencing the situation in real time and also recalling it from your long term memory, giving you the sensation that you’ve been in the exact same situation previously.
