Are you interested in seeing Chris Hardwick perform a full hour of comedy for absolutely free? The answer is Yes. There is no No.

Here’s the deal: You know that Chris is taping his Comedy Central special on February 17th (free tix here). And you know he wants to perform that material in front of live audiences beforehand. The result is that he’ll be doing the material that’ll be included in the special before a live audience at Nerdist Theater at Meltdown Comics in L.A. tonight, and you can be in the audience.

How can you take advantage of this special offer?

Show up.

That’s it. First-come, first-served. No RSVPs necessary. Just come to the venue and queue up. There may not be room for everyone, so come early. The show’s at 9:30 pm Pacific, tonight (Monday, 2/6), at 7522 W. You might have heard our own Chris Hardwick mention on the podcast that he’s going to be taping his Comedy Central standup TV special in New York on February 17th. You might have also heard him mention that tickets to the show are free. Are you in the New York area? Have you put your name in the running? No? What are you waiting for? We don’t know how many are left, if any, but this isn’t the kind of thing you can wait around to do. You gotta move fast. Like, now.

Here’s how to put your name in the running for free tickets to see the show: click here, fill out the form, there you go.

Yeah, it’s that simple.

And here are a few additional details: There are actually two tapings, at 7:15 and 9:15 pm. It’s at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (see? It’s art!) at NYU, 566 LaGuardia Place, right across from Washington Square and a very short few blocks from several subway stations and the PATH train. You’ll need to show up and be in the queue at least 30 minutes in advance. It’s 18-and-older, and you have to either live in the tri-state area or be in New York that week to be eligible for tickets. That’s pretty much what you need to know.

Now, let’s fill that room. Come on, you’ll get to see the show before anyone else, you know it’ll be funny as hell, and it’s free. Deals don’t come much better than that.

Nerdist Podcast Live Coming To Royal Oak, MI and State College, PA – Ticket Presale Wednesday

What do Royal Oak, Michigan and State College, Pennsylvania have in common? At first blush, not a lot. One is a reasonably trendy, shopping-and-bar-filled suburb of Detroit, the other is a verdant college town in the mountains, home to Penn State and a long drive from anywhere else (Altoona doesn’t count). Oh, there IS one thing they have in common: Both will host the Nerdist Podcast Live in April, and tickets for both go on sale this week.

Yes, people of Greater Detroit and Happy Valley, Chris Hardwick and his trusted compatriots Jonah Ray and Matt Mira will be coming to your areas soon. First, they’ll be appearing on Friday, April 20th at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in, naturally enough, Royal Oak, Michigan, then, after washing down their Coneys with some Faygo, they’ll find their way through the Western Pennsylvania woods to State College for a show Saturday, April 21st at the State Theatre, and I trust they’ll find the Creamery on campus while they’re there. Tickets for both shows will be available for presale Wednesday, February 1st, and here are the relevant details:

ROYAL OAK: The show is Friday, April 20th at 7 pm. Presale starts Wednesday, February 1st at noon Eastern and ends Friday at 11:50 am Eastern. The password is nerdist. Tickets go on regular sale on Friday (2/3) at noon Eastern. You’ll find tickets by clicking here.

STATE COLLEGE: The show is Saturday, April 21st at 8 pm. Presale starts Wednesday, February 1st at noon Eastern, and ends Thursday at 10 pm. The password is, once again, nerdist. Regular ol’ ticket sales will start on Friday (2/3) at noon Eastern. And you can buy tickets by clicking here.

Excuse me. Toronto? Yes, I’m talking to you. What? No, I know you can’t hear me. It’s figurative. Look, this is very important, so pay attention: Chris Hardwick is coming to your fair city for five — yes, five — shows over three nights at the Comedy Bar, 945 Bloor St. West.

Chris will be playing a 10 pm show on Thursday, February 9th, followed by two shows, 8 and 10 pm, on Friday and Saturday nights, February 10th and 11th. These are Chris’ standup shows, not podcasts. There will be laughs. And hugs. It will warm your heart.

The Harold Clinic is a three-week intensive set across twenty four 2 hour sessions, 4 days a week, ending with a show on January 26th. It’s for long-form improvisers interested in fine tuning their Harold performance…. like a gym for your improv skills. Instructed by veteran improviser Colton Dunn, each session will bring pointed notes and constructive criticism to help cultivate your Harold performance. This is three weeks of pure badass Harold jamming that ends with a show. Can you get with that?

Nerdist Podcast Live Coming To Twin Cities, Too

Oh, hey, look, another date for the Nerdist Podcast Live tour has been added, and it’s for the Twin Cities: Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis, right over there on SE 4th Street near the University of Minnesota campus (and across the street and around the corner from Al’s Breakfast) in Dinkytown. The show is at 8 pm Central (doors open 7 pm). Chris, Matt, and Jonah will be there to entertain and amaze you with feats of mental agility and wit beyond human comprehension. You know, like they always do.

There’ll be a password-enabled presale starting TOMORROW, Thursday, November 17th at 10 am, and that password is NERDIST. Easy enough. General public ticket sales start Friday (11/18) at 10 am Central.
