This picture was taken at the Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, CA. Yes, that is my hand. Normally I would agree that the “that thing looks like a dong!” comedy is low brow even for me, BUT THIS TREE REALLY LOOKS LIKE A DONG. Either this tree mounts other trees to reproduce or is pollinated by really slutty bees. The only thing this imagery was missing was sap dribbling out of the end. If  someone kicked or punched it we could put it on Web Soup (or launch Tree Soup for the best viral tree nut shots around).

This pic where I look like I’m 15 was taken on the set of my first hosting job EVER, MTV’s very short-lived gamed show Trashed. It pre-dated Singled Out by a year but it got me onto the network and they were kind enough to keep me around for a few years. The concept of the show was simple: contestants would answer quizshow-style questions to try to save personal possessions they had brought on from being destroyed by elaborate machines, most of which were designed by Joel Hodgson of MST3K fame. It was also an opportunity for MTV to try to recapture some of that Remote Control magic by adding a heavy sketch comedy element to the gameplay. This was the show where I first met and worked with folks like Brian Posehn, Janeane Garofalo, Doug Benson, Bob Odenkirk, Chris Henchy, Steve Higgins and Margaret Cho. Fun stuff!

Speaking of segues, please watch an ALL NEW Web Soup tonight at 5p/8p, PT/ET, immediately following Attack of the Show (on which I’ll be reviewing a 3D camera). We’re gliding into our last Web Soup eps of the season and I have to say that while every one of these shows is super fun for me, this one was PARTICULARLY fun. If you haven’t watched the show thus far, I highly recommend you give it a shot tonight. G4 is a channel that is really high up on your channel line-up, but certainly worth the climb.

DOG SOUP: Whizzer Hardwick did such a great job hosting the show that one time. Ultimately, he wanted too much money so we had to let his option expire, despite G4′s stranglehold on the “Canines 3-6 years old” demo.

A dolphin is a wet mammal that you can hug. Only very occasionally will they try to rape you. If you think of a dolphin like a dog, then a human is really just a large screaming leg.

SPOILER ALERT: Some people get violated by dolphins on tonight’s show. Also, two words: PLACENTA BBQ. And if for no other reason, watch my voice give out throughout the show as I slide into laryngitis from a cold I got in Indiana last weekend. I’m literally squeaking by the end of the show. Which is probably why that dolphin tried to bone me. No cetacean court in the world would convict him because my high pitched squeaks and chirps, at least in dolphin, were asking for it but good!

This is how it usually happens.

Look, when you have sexy melon heads running around your set, things are going to happen. To envision what melon head sex is like, imagine thrusting yourself into a densely pack fruit salad fresh out of the fridge. Their body temperatures are a lot lower than ours.

In any event, watch Web Soup tonight immediately following Attack of the Show to see the return of the Melon Heads and the return on the melons, Miss Sara Jean Underwood. (I’m sorry Sara. I know that’s rude but I just couldn’t let that joke slip by!!! Me=jerk)

Ah, Speedos. I didn’t own one before this day, but I appreciate that they provide me with the comfort and support I so richly deserve. This episode of Attack of the Show was shot entirely in a hot tub as a tribute to our guest host for the day, Clark Duke, who is super funny and damn nice.

If you’d never heard of Attack you wouldn’t have any idea what this show is based on this picture. It has that kind of WTF  that you feel if you ever watch a Japanese channel. It raises a lot of questions, but not a lot of Japanswers.
