Twitter Reacts to COMMUNITY Coming to Yahoo
By Dan Casey on July 1, 2014
Yesterday, the news broke that NBC’s cancelled cult comedy Community wasn’t quite as cancelled as everyone thought. The rallying cry of #SixSeasonsAndAMovie didn’t fall on deaf ears, evidently, as Sony announced the fan favorite series would get a sixth season on Yahoo Screen. We here at the Nerdist offices were quite excited by the news, but nowhere near as excited as the denizens of Twitter, who gave the announcement at least 5 Meow Meow Beenz. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites here.
The show is evidently popular amongst comics royalty like Warren Ellis.

And Ed Brubaker too!
I am a little rusty on my slang, but I’m pretty sure “HJ” stands for “Hooray, Jeffs.”
Writer/director BenDavid Grabinski raises a very valid point.
Someone was just saying hashtags have never led to anything meaningful. That person was stupid. #sixseasonsandamovie

Dan Harmon chimed in with some cryptic “El Paso” lyrics:
It’s been so long since I’ve seen the young maiden. My love is stronger than my fear of death. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie

Even giant life events can’t stack up for this fan.
There’s nothing fishy about this fan’s reaction.
This guy definitely knows Community‘s fan base all too well.
Are there any COMMUNITY fans who will protest a potential 7th season because it exceeds the number set by the catchphrase? — James Poniewozik (@poniewozik) July 1, 2014
But at least if they do see season 7, they’ll have a good home.
Can’t wait for Hotmail to host season seven of Community
