BIOSHOCK INFINITE’s Alternate MINECRAFT Universe

Spoiler alert: BioShock Infinite didn’t really have a Minecraft alternate universe (at least that we know of), but that didn’t stop The Voxel Box community from recreating the sky-faring world of Columbia, one block at a time.

The Minecraft builders had this to say about their recreation:

“Columbia floats above the North Msk continent and is comprised of neoclassical buildings built in the earlier days of Holocene. While reactors, propellers and balloons are present throughout the city, its ability to float is due to quantum levitation which allows objects to be suspended indefinitely.”

Basically, it’s a lot of BioShock Infinite scientific awesome that’s been translated into Minecraft blocks. Sadly, we’re missing Elizabeth’s towering, angel-shaped prison, but that doesn’t detract from all the incredible.

Enough talking, take a look at Columbia in all of its pixilated glory below:

And just in case you’re curious as to how it looks like on the floating city, take a look at the video below:

If you don’t want to take the time building Columbia yourself, The Voxel Box has been kind enough to allow you to download their build. Just don’t expect to find any floor hotdogs.
