AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Art of Level 7 Headed to Comic Books
By Amy Ratcliffe on May 21, 2014
The first season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended on an exciting note. As if the drama, intrigue, and betrayal weren’t enough to engage viewers, Marvel also created an art series that tied in with the final six episodes of the season. The Art of Level 7 project featured beautiful posters for those episodes and also offered some clues about what was ahead for Agent Coulson and his team.
The Art of Level 7 posters were available in limited quantities, and though there are a couple of selections remaining in the Marvel shop, most of the posters are sold out. It’s not surprising given the fact that they feature work from talented artists including Mike Del Mundo, Paolo Rivera, Pascal Campion, Stephanie Hans, Emma Rios, and Phantom City Creative.
If you didn’t get the chance to purchase a poster, you’ll be able to own pieces from the Art of Level 7 campaign in a different format: comic book variant covers. These will also be offered in limited editions, but they’d be worth tracking down once they’re available in August. You can also try to pre-order them from your local comic book shop. The following issues are getting the variant covers:
All-New X-Men #31 (Mike Del Mundo art)
Avengers #34 (Paolo Rivera art)
Deadpool #33 (Pascal Campion art)
New Avengers #22 (Stephanie Hans art)
Uncanny Avengers #23 (Emma Rios art)
Uncanny X-Men #25 (Phantom City Creative Art)
The smaller comic book covers are a great alternative to finding wall space for the large posters, and they’re also a more affordable way to own the cool art.
