Last Night On @midnight: The Sklar Brothers, Kyle Kinane, and a Visit From Clark Gregg

LogoAtMidnightThe Sklar Brothers, Randy and Jason, and Kyle Kinane were the panel for last night’s @midnight with Chris Hardwick on Comedy Central, eviscerating the Star Wars casting announcement, Juggalo dating, Adam Silver vs. Donald Sterling, and Chris Hardwick memes (of COURSE “Peter Hardwick” made an appearance). • If you listen to the nerdist podcast Chris says that the way the show is edited some parts happen before others so it’s hard to know what parts happen before or after others. if you were really paying attention the whole time you would see that it happens throughout the entire show

  • I’m at a severe risk of becoming “that guy” by pointing this out twice in a row, but it happened AGAIN. Randy Sklar was at 2000 points before making the “Goat that ate Hitler’s testicle” joke, Chris audibly said points (after hysterical laughter, so the line obviously scored) but when the camera panned back, he was still at 2000 points, leaving him in third place. Getting scored for that joke would have completely changed the outcome and pit the Sklars against each other head-to-head.
Mind you, the reason I’m noticing this is because I’m watching the show every day, because it’s hilarious and I love it. I’m fully aware that in the grand scheme of injustices, this is beneath trivial, but it just feels sloppy. If the scores truly don’t matter, then it should be done like “Whose Line is it Anyway”, and just give out random numbers at the host’s whim. If winning the game is meant to earn bragging rights for the comic, then let’s give the scorekeeper some coffee so he stops falling asleep at the end of the game.
