For Reals? Snoop Dogg Lends His Voice For Upcoming CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS DLC

Snoop Dogg is lending his vocal talents to Activision and Infinity Ward for Call of Duty: Ghosts’ upcoming content. Yes, you read that right. And although many would think he’s written a new song to add to the game’s soundtrack, he’s actually going to voice multiplayer callouts.

Wait, what?

The “dee-oh-double-gee” himself will let you know when “Ballistic vests ready. Those are some fine ass threads” or that “You got that spitfire drone now. That’s what’s up.”

You’ll see in the video below what drew him to the Call of Duty project and how he added his own “Snoopisms” to the game:

Snoop Dogg isn’t the only star talent lending his voice to the game. The “Drill Instructor Voice Pack” adds similar vocal contributions from R. Lee Ermey, best known as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket. Both packs will cost $2.99 (and potentially your sanity).

The two voice packs, as well as several other character and weapon customization packs, will be released just two days shy of Snoop Dogg’s favorite day, on April 22. The prices and packs will vary from a $1.99 marijuana-leaf themed “Blunt Force Personalization Pack” to a $3.99 “Soap Legend Pack.” All packs are set to release first on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with other platforms receiving the DLC at a later date.
