All good things must come to an end, and this year marks the final year of Vertigo’s The Unwritten, a mind-bending series that explores the boundaries between fiction and reality.

The new series, dubbed The Unwritten: Apocalypse, finds us following Tom Taylor, who is stuck at the beginning of all creation and struggling to navigate his way through the unwritten scenes of all the world’s stories on his quest to return to reality. Now, in issue #2, written by Mike Carey and featuring art by Peter Gross, Richie and Lizzie are hot on the trail of their lost friend Tom, but to find him they’ll have to journey to the most dangerous city on Earth: London. Get a sneak peek of what you’ll be in for when the book drops on Wednesday, February 19th thanks to an exclusive preview from our friends at Vertigo.

  • Its finishing this year? For real? I was hesitant to keep going after the last book because its felt like its been treading water for a bit and not really going anywhere. I was worried it was going to hang around waaay too long (like Fables) but if its finishing up this year I’ll stick around.
