Find Out What Makes A Next-Gen Lara Croft
By Malik Forté on January 21, 2014
Tomb Raider was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best games of last year. Now that we’re only a week removed from the release of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, the question on most people’s minds is what exactly makes this version of the game “definitive.” Sure, updated physics, lighting effects and textures are always a great thing to see in next-gen ports, but are they $60 “definitive”? The game’s executive producer, Scot Amos, is on hand to educate us all on what makes a next-gen Lara Croft.
Alongside the completely rebuilt Lara Croft character model, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will also include all of the multiplayer DLC, the game-inspired Dark Horse comic, and the complete art book. It should be interesting to see how they incorporate next-gen features like the PS4′s touchpad or the Xbox’s Kinect 2.0 into the game as well. If you’re looking to once again be shipwrecked on the seemingly haunted island of Yamatai, January 28th is your day of reckoning.
