@Midnight Last Night: Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, Doug Benson

LogoAtMidnightEugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, and Doug Benson were the panelists on last night’s edition of Chris Hardwick’s @midnight on Comedy Central, and the competition includes the Halloweenification of celebrity names, trying to outdo the CafeMom mommies in sex advice, and fakery involving Facebook and BuzzFeed.

If you missed it, watch these clips:

Sex Advice from Your Mom – Marriage & Masturbation

Facebook or Fakebook – Single Gay Millionaires

Tonight, @midnight will be back with another fine episode featuring Patton Oswalt, our own Matt Braunger, and Nikki Glaser. Watch it on on Comedy Central at midnight ET/PT. And follow the show’s Tumblr and, of course, the Twitter account while you try to forget your mom’s sex advice.

  • what was up with the obvious buzzer issue? it seemed like you were blatantly not letting Eugene get a word in and playing favorites with Doug and Kristen for the ratings. great lineup, but not that great when only 2 people are really allowed to speak. stop trying so hard Matt, it shows and it’s not attractive.

  • @ Micah

I highly doubt Chris is the one controlling who gets to place an answer – you could even see when he let Mirman get one in and Doug’s pedestal was lit up.

Mirman didn’t do too much for me, though I loved how comfortable and open Doug and Kristen seemed.

  • What’s with the editing of the show? People will start out with 0 points, first question gets asked and 1 person answers, then the scores are 100/100/200?

No one else adds to the category, no extra points are assessed, but there’s suddenly numbers on the board.

  • Two things threw me off:
1: Mirman was being a dick. Why?
2: I get why Chris played his sort of “Shut up” joke but why is it that Kristen gets mad about it? She really wouldn’t shut up the whole time.
