Jonah Ray to Host Nerdist-Produced National Geographic Channel Pilot
by Perry Michael Simon on March 5, 2013
Nerdist Industries has another pilot in the works, this one hosted by our own Jonah Ray and being made for National Geographic Channel.
The show is called In The Name Of Science, and it’ll recreate famous experiments of the past to see if they still stand the test of time. It’ll be co-produced with Lighthearted Entertainment.
Deadline has all the details. It’s still obviously in the pilot stage, but it’s exciting nonetheless.

This is the best news I have heard all year.
Fucking. Yes.
Will Jonah Ray be wearing a plaid lab coat?
Awesome!! Congratulations Jonah!!
Nice! Jonah makes me want to touch funny style.
All of this I love.
Awesome
“The magestic hipster, living in it’s natural habitat –” Grats on the possible show Ray of the Jones.
@Vincent S: If National Geographic picks up the show, and does not use that as the tagline, then why even pick it up at all?
Break a leg Bunsen Honeydew, err, Jonah Ray.
Also, I’m thinking *NidsMoNerdist*. Something like Matt Mira reprising the role of Beaker. Mee, mee, mee, mee, mee.
If Star Talk wasn’t already using it, the Sound of Science line “Dropping science like Galileo dropped the orange” would be perfect.
