I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

I don’t understand why people avoid live podcasts. I LOVE them! So much spontaneous joy! Let me have some happiness, people!
Sara Benincasa is stunning… so is Emily, but just saying.
I heard another podcast last night TAKE WARNING!
Wow, I think Rick Overton is the new leader on the God question.
Had a damn good time at this, glad to say I was able to make it to the last two live sf shows!
Pete the live eps are some of my favorites. The more the better.
… Did I just witness the greatest riff ever riffed on STROKE VICTIMS??? This show is the best.
Lazer accuracy from Chris Thayer the whole episode
Do you always call Chris Thayer ‘Weird Boy’?! That is amazing. I want to be in a forever friendship threesome with you and Chris. BIG TIME. That man is a comedy genius. Also, please have both Rick Overton and Sarah Benincasa on for their own YMIW! I feel like they’d both have wonderful stories. Would love to hear more about Sarah’s agoraphobia and getting over it (or learning to live with it) and WAY more about Rick’s God talk. FASCINATING STUFF! Oh and Pete, you were spot on this episode. I can’t remember your specific jokes but your riffs were seriously hilarious. MORE LIVE EPISODES.
My first job as a teenager was a couple doors down from Zanies in Vernon Hills. That club WAS Weird. The laughing characters on the walls made me feel like I was in a twisted pediatrician’s office.
I got to see and meet so many amazing comedians working there and that’s how I became a comedy nerd.
Chris, you aren’t alone. We played your clip and then shared our much more embarrassing stories this week.

Ah crap, I forgot to congratulate Pete on suffering through his Spicy Interview with Chris.
I adore how much time you spent on an Op Ivy impression that no one in the audience cared about.
Hey Pete. Love the podcast.
I have a pretty bad stutter and have, for as long as I can remember, struggled to find confidence in social situations. Id like to say thanks for explicitly confirming deep-seated insecurities with that stammering quip and ensuring that ill never ever feel comfortable in my own skin.
Alright, bye
PS You are funny and I like you.
Pull yourself together, pig.
how do I donate to nerdist/your show.. where’s the damn button?
