Today, Nerdist News is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 Golden Geeks. Our answer to the Academy Awards, the Golden Geeks honor films that our editorial team believes reflect what we want to see in films and performances that reflect how we want to see nerds portrayed in film. This year we selected a film about finding your place, even if it’s in a digital world; a director who managed to make a time travel film manageable; actors who made a stoner, a skeptic, and a SHIELD agent fully formed characters; and two writers that made horror fun again.
