Nickelodeon’s “Sanjay & Craig” to Co-Star the Voice of Chris Hardwick

Sanjay and CraigSo, there’s a new cartoon series coming up on Nickelodeon called Sanjay and Craig, about a boy and his snake, and I’m warning you to remember that it’s a kids’ show and keep it clean. Anyway, the pedigree is pretty impressive, with The Adventures of Pete and Pete‘s Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi teamed with creators Jim Dirschberger, Jay Howell, and Andreas Trolf to executive produce the series and a voice cast that includes 30 Rock‘s (and Phineas and Ferb‘s) Maulik Pancholy, Arrested Development‘s Tony Hale, Freaks and Geeks‘ Linda Cardellini, The Big Bang Theory‘s Kunal Nayyar, voice wizard Grey DeLisle, and, in the co-starring role of Craig, ostensibly the snake of the pair… our own Chris Hardwick.

Yes, we want to see this. Now. But we have to exhibit patience, because the cast of the show, which was announced as in development last August, was just unveiled today at the network’s upfront announcement, where they also announced the scheduling of the previously-announced Monsters vs. Aliens series, a third season pickup of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more of The Legend of Korra, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, and others. But we’re stoked about our boss getting to do another cartoon voice, so, yeah, that.

Oh, and your Hardwick Trivia for the Day: Chris and Linda Cardellini worked together on another show. Can you guess which… oh, okay, I’ll tell you, it was UPN’s Guys Like Us, 1998-99. They have both obviously gone on to bigger things.
