New UK “Monsters University” Trailer

Getting a new Pixar trailer is like getting to peek at a Christmas present a few months early. You’re happy, but you’d rather have the thing right now. This is how we feel with this new British trailer for Disney’s Monsters University, which will hit theaters June 21st here in the States and July 12th in the Kingdom. (Does anyone call it that? I hope not.)
It appears that Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) weren’t always the bestest friends of all time. In fact, you guys, they were RIVALS. There definitely seems to be a Revenge of the Nerds vibe going on along with some shades of Harold Lloyd’s silent classic, The Freshman, with the football game and all. They’ve done a great job of making the heroes of 2001′s Monsters, Inc. look younger and thinner while not losing any of their charm. In fact, in the 12 years between films, the CG animation quality is markedly more advanced. Makes sense.

What a beautiful trailer. The textures are amazing! I want to cuddle all the monsters! I can’t wait to see this movie! Pixar is always good with story. So it should be a really good movie.
Funny trailer. Love the music choice.
But i really want pixar to someday make a movie that uses more realistic characters. There are just too many monster movies right now.
