I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

It saddens me when I see a 1 hour show with no minutes over =( make every show 90 minutes or more!!!
I adore Giant Val Kilmer!!!! <3 <3 Here is Pete and me after the "You Made It Weird" live podcast!
http://dihrd.me/14Tix3q
I think one hour podcasts are just perfect.
@Diane M. Martin – I adore Petey Pants as well! Am amused how much he had to scrunch down for a photo with you! I heard the guy is tall, but DAYUM! He’s six-foot-WHAT, exactly? Anyone know?
I can’t believe my pi joke was in the recording! xD
@Patty – 6’6″ I think
Ive been listening to YMIW for a while, and Ive never heard him talk about his love of splinter cell. I am a bigger fan now because of it.
@Nate – Pete talked about Splinter Cell on the Indoor Kids youtube show. He loves giving the dead some P&Q
I told him he didn’t have to bend down, and that I could get him in the frame just fine.
Now he just looks like regular lesbian Val Kilmer next to you, Di.
@ greyghost – Thanks!
@Jetpack Blues – Any pics of you with the big man?
@Chris Hardwick, Jonah Ray, Matt “Big Papa” Mira and Pete Holmes –
Oh. Sweet. Cthulu.
This is easily my favorite Nerdist episode of all the ones I’ve ever EVER ever heard. You four almost made me PEE in public, I was laughing so hard! PLEASE tell me there’s video of the four of you do-wopping to “Walking After Midnight.”
And Matt and Pete were just SO perfect together, I hope Big Papa goes on “You Made It Weird” soon!
And Pete…sweet, sweet Pete…your impression of a crazy homeless person at the end…I had to clap both hands over my mouth so I wouldn’t disturb anyone in the library! I almost busted a vein holding that in! Pete, PLEASE come to Cleveland! You could play Hilarities comedy club. Kumail was here a few months ago and he can tell you all about the theater. Here’s their link:

@Patty: I was all-time picture taker (well, for like 2 people), so no shots of me with Pete. Or anywhere, for that matter. It’s like I was there, but wasn’t.
I’m like an enigma wrapped in bacon, and then I divided by zero.
AWww, @Diane, so cute! Loving the 4th doctor scarf as well.
@Jetpack Blues – A delicious, DELICIOUS, heart-clogging enigma.
By the way, I’ve just made the White House petition below for shnicks. Sorry, Curtis, I know Boet was trying to get President Obama on your podcast, but I think we’ve got a better shot of getting 100,000 signatures by March 8th for Nerdist. I doubt POTUS would actually come on the show, but the 100,000 signatures would guarantee an official White House response, which would mean some free publicity for Nerdist Industries.

i came for the nerdist, and i stayed for the holmes. thank yawl for you made it wierd, itsa da best
Chris’ dog voice sounds a lot like Greg Behrendt’s “You Got Fren” voice. He should be on the podcast n’ stuff. *nod*
Am I the only one that keeps hearing Doug Benson in this ? But I never hear him introduced.
taun taun toe. sumth’n sumth’n smelled bad on the outside
right?
@Chris: After reading the Tweet you made on your birthday (http://goo.gl/JMPVa), and additional goading by friends, I made plans to come out this year to take in Sketchfest, see the podcast live and visit 2 of my favorite California brew pubs.
After pestering Patty, Di, and other well-travelled friends, I finally got my shit together enough to book the trip. Then I made the suggestion to Patty about getting the Hostful artwork we did printed out and signed (http://goo.gl/fwlj0).
I know the whole after show was out of your hands. Meaning limited amount of face time and signatures for fans. No worries. You and Jonah both had to bolt & go to other venues. Plus UCB was coming in on the heels of the podcast.
And I didn’t want to flag you down @ Yoshi’s and steal your oxygen. You were there to perform, be with your friends and relax. Although you should keep a better grip on your phone.
Man, what a weekend. A wild Matt Mira sighting, W00tstock & Meltdown on Friday. YMIW, Benson Interruption & Nerdist podcast live on Saturday, and joined by the wonderful Diane Martin & her mom, winding it all up with Mustache Harbor & Chris suited up as the Greatest American Hero.
Believe it or not, I WAS walking on air! But my feet were killing me!
I had fun on the left coast, have seen and done stuff I’ve only dreamed of and slightly dreaded. Thank you!
@JetpackBlues – :HUGS:
If anyone from Team Nerdist comes to Cleveland, you can crash on my couch!
My first live Nerdist podcast, and it was hilarious. I’ve listened to a bunch of YMIW, but I had no idea how seriously funny Pete Holmes is.
Such a great time!
@Jim Doug Benson wasn’t in the show (as much as I was aware of). Just a drop-in from Paul and Storm.
It was so devastating to find out that the guys wouldn’t be able to stay and chat afterwards! Guess i’ll have to get my copy of The Nerdist Way signed another time
All in all, amazing show tho! Come back to the bay soon!
I just have to say the last minute or so of this podcast was amazing and probably one of the funniest moments i’ve heard on this podcast.
@Jetpack: YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID HI!!! I’m so sorry they wouldn’t let us do meet n greets after the show. Next time, we will shake hands. Glad you had fun! Sketchfest rules.
Immaculate Monkey Orbs!!! Homeless Matt Mira’s rant at the end had me in tears laughing so hard at my desk at work!!! People in the cubicle next to me thought I had just received news someone had died!
‘Twas a gem, this one was.
This episode is one of the hardest I have laughed, Pete Holmes with the three host was a great dynamic for jokes.
Was a great show, so glad I was there. For anyone that is interested, the crowd was way louder and laughed harder than it seems listening to the podcast. Yes, I was there, and wanted to hear it all over again.
Hope you all can make it to SF more often.
jonah seems to have some weird hostility towards pete, i felt that way at the live ymiw too. open your heart jonah
@jimmer – Jonah was just jealous his sister-wife was bonding so well and so publicly with another tall dude. His heart was breaking.
A live show that sounds as high quality as a studio podcast?! THANK YOU MR. HARDWICK
This may be a little sad to say, but I had to listen to this one twice today, just to hear Big C doing the Diego voice again. I don’t know what it says about me that that’s the one point in all 300+ podcasts that almost made me burst out laughing at work (that and Pussy Talkin’ Jonah).
Why are the SF Sketchfest podcasts on iTunes?
*aren’t
The Alf cartoon stuff took me to my happy place
This showed up twice on the feed on consecutive days, not sure why.
Great clip about Salem witch fantasies – we featured it as one of our podcasts of the week!
