  3. Amazing pair of episodes right there. Gabe, Portal, TF2, Valve’s setup, ponies, hats, and even Rob Walker in one of the them! What’s not to love! Don’t think I’ve ever heard a more interesting form of interview with Gabe anywhere before this.

  6. Ah, and how could I forget, this marked the triumphant return of Dick Capes into the public eye… I give it a week before we have one as a misc. item for the Demoman.

    If so, have you gotten to the Discord character?
    It’s a 2 parter and has a couple of things you two might appreciate.

  23. Haha, was actually just thinking the same thing. Given the love these guys have all shown for both Star Trek and Star Wars, those two episodes should be rather fun for them… assuming they end up liking the show to begin with.

    ….A John de Lancie interview might make for an interesting episode at some point in the future….

    Gabe did fuck Jenny McCarthy and Chris is making Half-Life 3!!!

  25. This Podcast kisses their arse too much, where are the questions on…

    - The Failure of CS:GO and why they outsourced it.
    - The aging Steam UI and how slow it is.
    - Why they do so much focus testing which ends up dumbing down their games and making them too easy like Portal 2 and L4D linear level design.
    etc etc.
    - Why they stole DOTA away from their fanbase which was based with Blizzard and pretend Icefrog made it, when he didn’t.
    - Why they haven’t fixed the 1.6 server browser?
    - Why they’re making a console no one cares about.

    Just sick of them, give us HL3, it’s all we want, not the rest of the bullshit. Valve fans don’t care about Dota, leave that fan base with Blizzard…….. give us Valve games!

    I can’t imagine chris hardwick even plays many PC games, and never really bad mouths any guest. So if he did anything but suck his butt farts it’d be a huge surprise for any listener.

    And as part of Dota’s fanbase, i can say valve didn’t steal the game away from us ( IMO probably saved it from them). And Icefrog was given the keys to Dota so long ago and has done a pretty excellent job with progressing the game thus far. I feel comfortable saying dota2 is Ice Frogs game right now, and that its under valve

    But yeah I agree with some of your other points.. but this isn’t the podcast for it.
