I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

I am the world’s laziest cook when it comes to making my own meals, but there’s something really nice about working together to make a nice meal for friends and family.
Also, Janet, I had no idea you were involved in Neil’s Puppet Dreams until I saw the preview. Awesome!
One thing I like to do when cooking is listening to this podcast. When doing dishes, I prefer music, but my tastes seem completely different than Janet’s and her guests in that regard. Though I think we share some distastes in music. While I can recognize some of the qualities of The Doors and Nirvana, I think Morrison and Cobain are/were way overrated, in part because of their untimely deaths (and the age of their fans at the time, I remember the high school days when Cobain died, and how the shock was felt among the music obsessed crowd).
