I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick

Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

I love that you guys are going to see GWAR! Wear some clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and have a blast.
Wooooaah it’s Gaz! Been reading stuff of his for basically a decade, and I hear him every week on the Tested podcast. Rad to see him on here.
The Walking Poverty is basically Grapes Of Wrath: The Videogame.
okay I NEVER thought Id heard Fairport Convention on this podcast…….
Also the leader sing of that band dated Robert Plant from Zeppelin
Fairport Convention is the shit, you guys. I assure you.
Listen to “Meet on the Ledge” and feel your innards glow with joy:
Speaking of narrative branches, I really enjoy the Alpha Protocol -style approach to conversations this game takes, as opposed to the more standard Mass Effect type.

That’s just a simple introductory conversation where you arrive at the Moscow hub and try to get some information about weapons smugglers.
Another thing about the Walking Dead that I really love is the sound design. When the storm was (literally and figuratively) brewing in episode 2, I actually took off my headphones and checked the sky outside because I wasn’t sure if the sounds were real or not.
I’m sitting here waiting for XCOM to unlock on steam at midnight. I can’t remember being so pumped for a game to come out. You guys have got to play this. I’d love to hear your impressions.
Thanks for making my job enjoyable.
Indoor kids is my favorite podcast and I cannot wait to get my shirt when you guys decide the winner.
Gary is the man, great guest. I highly recommend the This is Only a Test podcast if you enjoyed him.
You roped me in for another one because I want to hear about his part in the next M. Night film.
For other Elizabethean rock, check out Steeleye Span’s “All Around my Hat” video, which is like the Renaissance Fair mixed with ABBA. And speaking of Renaissance, there is a band of the same name with an amazing singer named Annie Haslam… the video to see is “Northern Lights.”
Love you guys!!!! I Marathoned all your podcast and now that I’m caught up I hate that I have to wait for the next show to come…..Just like the Walking dead episodes…
Hey, since Emily said she like concept bands, here’s one for you: Port Mahadia. They’re near impossible to find (they ARE on Spotify, however), but their music is quite interesting.
Keep up the good work!
I will never understand how you guys put yourselves out there on the internet to be torn apart by people who don’t understand how level one human interaction works and that internet comments will be read. Your show is wonderful. You are both wonderful. My life is more wonderful with The Indoor Kids.
