I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick

Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

Wow. STOP BRINGING IT UP, PETE!!!. Super awkward. And hilarious.
Christ, all these people giving hateful comments towards Jon. I would have never expected so many emotionally immature fraggles being Pete Holmes fans.
I don’t understand why people (including Pat Helms) thinks Jon Glaser is being 100% sincere. His whole schtick is built around awkward, uncomfortable moments. Maybe he was genuinely uncomfortable, but he’s definitely playing it up for the audience at the very least. It’s so strange that everyone’s taking him at his word.
It was entertaining either way, though.
Ugh Pete!! You are such a boor.
Holy. Crap. I went to the NYC live YMIW and it was great, but I am kinda scared to go to another one if this is what might be in store for me! This was definitely the weirdest episode yet.
Jesus. That was painful to list to. Awesome though.
Pete, if you really want to make it weird, why don’t you tell us what you make to read a few lines as a baby once in awhile? Jon Glaser says he missed out on a TON of money by not getting that gig. What amount of money is a ton? What are they paying you, Pete? If you really want to make it weird for you too, and not just for your guests, why not tell us that? i bet it’s ridiculous huge amounts of money for screaming “in this establishment” into a microphone 4 times a year.
C’mon, it’s all well and good to talk about your 6 pumps sex life, and call it weird, but make it really weird. Talk about how much money you make, and how much money you have.
I think Jon played it up a bit, but I can totally understand where he’s coming from. Why would you interrupt your guest once they come out and then pretty much say “Hey remember I got that really good job that you didn’t?”. Then apologize instantly to try and smooth things over when he didn’t get the reaction he was expecting. It was not Jons place to change the topic, it’s not his podcast. Pete wanted to make it weird and he got what he asked for, and clearly couldn’t handle it, neither could the first two comedians. Brett was obviously doing a bit which I personally thought it was funny. I could finally turn up the volume and actually hear what was being said. Personally I think a podcast full of obnoxious laughter doesn’t actually make it funny.
hey veer what brought you here, anyway?
Eric Andre is HILRIOUS!
That is… HILARIOUS!
I didn’t know what you meant by, “this really gets weird…” until I did! WHOA!
I love both Jon and Pete. To be frank, Pete knows he did wrong so those defending his actions don’t need to. It must have sucked for Jon who probably psyched himself up for the appearance and then got hit in the stomach by an accidental fly-ball from Pete. Pete is a genuinely good person and any harm he does is from ignorance, not from being malicious. I don’t think any of us can judge Jon for how he acted. Frankly anything short of walking off is relatively classy.
Pete, in hindsight, I think the best line you could have possibly said was: “Wait, I thought I was the baby!”
Or:
“On second thought, Jon, you did deserve that part after all since you’re so adept at acting like a fucking infant.”
