It sounds to me like Andy had absolutely no rational decision making skills. There was no part of his brain that was telling him the things he was doing were COMPLETELY INSANE. I don’t think it was just a symptom of an absentee mother, but that certainly didn’t help. His brain didn’t know how to ask questions, he just did things.
It seems like the only time his brain ever asked the question “Why?” was when he was jumping over the highway, but he still did it.
I think the pros and cons of marijuana is an interesting conversation to have, I’d just prefer to save it until people aren’t being put in jail over it
