I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

The French phrase people would yell out before tossing thir poop bucket out the window is… I foget how to actually spell it, so here it is spelled phonetically.
“Guard-ee Lew.”
Botanicula is a great game. The company that made it also made a couple other games that are amazing. Machinarium and Samarost are both point & click (like Botanicula) but very different art styles. They are both available on Steam.
Congratulations on the show last night – took 3 uninitiated friends along and they all really enjoyed it. Best of luck with your last show tonight.
I watch Project Runway, Emily. You are not alone. I’m to the point where I feel a personal connection with Michael Kors whenever I see one of his stores. He doesn’t give a shit about you, Jen. He only cares about maintaining his tan.
Caught Kumail’s show the day the fire alarm went off after 20 minutes! Glad pretty much everyone came back in for the last 15, it was a good recovery and a cool show even when truncated!
Now need to find out what the VCR story was though…
Hello World is basically ‘Babby’s First Program.’ All it does is output that phrase, but it shows you have a basic understanding of the structure of the programming language if it compiles properly.
I like Project Runway AND Indoor Kids!
What were those Indie games Emily mentioned? And the descriptions?
2nded the suggestion to definitely check out any/all of the games produced by Amanita Design (Botanicula their latest, is excellent, but Machinarium, Samorost 1 & 2 are also brilliant) Very unique, engaging, tricky puzzle games, all with really great soundtracks.
I believe we talked about:
SoundShapes for Vita- the game where you build as a song as you progress through the level
TwinGo- an IPhone game where you move as a pair to solve puzzles
Botanicula- a gorgeous PC/Mac game (the demo is free) where you and a team of your pals who all live in a massive tree have to protect the final seed of that tree
Find Me a Good One- downloadable PC/Mac game by the Parsons student where you find friends to help your brother fight his nightmares
Beat Sneak Bandit- IPhone/IPad game where you have to move to the beat while you sneak around a huge mansion
THANK YOU for recommending “Kill List” I loved it*
