I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

I like this show.
We like you back!
Hi guys, I have been loving this podcast. It’s helped me get back into comic reading. I started reading Walking Dead recently and this show is entertaining as well as helping me compose a list of comics I want to read.
Just one thing has been niggling (real word?)me the entire time, your audio quality. Usually it’s mostly fine and then the music for new segments gets really loud and there are some dips here and there, but as I tried to listen to this episode this morning ten minutes in and I had to turn it off. It was so soft, I had everything turned up full and was still struggling to hear and in ten minutes when my colleagues start filling up the office that’ll be it.
Sure I’ll listen to it this evening through my media centre when I am home so it’s all right. But I was wondering if you guys could look into that maybe? I don’t know if anyone else has complained at all.
Thanks again though for the podcast literally been ten years since I last read any meaningful comics. It’s nice to be getting back to it.
Hi Nich! First of all, thanks so much for your kind words, it really means a lot! There’s nothing better than to hear we’ve got someone back into comics.
As for the tech problems, yeah, that’s an ongoing issue with being a live show in a venue that has dozens of acts every week, we’re basically reseting constantly. THAT said, do you know where/when it starts to get too soft? I’ll listen through it today, see if I can fix, but if you have a time on when it gets really bad, that’ll help focus me in.
Thank you!
