  3. 16 minutes in, and Gary quotes one of my favorite Vonnegut lines, who is one of my idols and my favorite writer of all time. This is gonna be a good episode.

    And then the D&D story broke my heart. Oh man… Also, Boston accents are freaking hot, so thanks for that.

  9. The “Go to the edge of the cliff and jump off. Build your wings on the way down.” quote was from my hero, the recently deceased Ray Bradbury.

    Great episode, guys. Gary’s apparent sense of wonder and lack of pretension was refreshing. “I mean, I did Nicholson!”

  10. Great ep, Pete! I saw Gary Gulman live once too — never thought grapes could be so funny! He seems like such a nice guy. Also, it’s so completely endearing how much Chris Thayer wants to make you laugh.

  11. Wow, loved this episode!!! Cannot beat the Kurt Vonnegut and Charles Bukowski references. Also the dollar store discount joke is fucking hilarious, I don’t care how old it is.
