I definitely agree with Mark! So endearing! Janet, you and Deanna talked a bit about Ani Difranco. I was looking at her albums at Amoeba just before listening to this podcast and I’ve always known of her but never knew where to start. What are some of your favorite Ani songs? Other listeners’ suggestions are welcome as well! And although we couldn’t see MASH I still loved that you played the game and thought Deanna’s choices were great. I hope her and brunette man will be very happy together

Ani is one prolific song writer, and figuring out which of her twenty albums to bite into first can be overwhelming. Also, her sound evolves dramatically between releases, so I’d definitely recommend listening to my top album choices chronologically (with my favorite songs in parentheses):

Happy to do something for anybody and friends so how are you guys and what is anyone doing Friday?
I took forever to reply, but that’s probably just because the past few weeks have been filled with great Ani music! As a kid I heard Alana Davis’ cover of 32 Flavors and loved the lyrics, and now it’s such a great new experience listening to the woman that wrote them. So far I love Not A Pretty Girl, and that whole album has touched me. Thank you so much for your input. You girls are killing it on Burning Love too!
