I am, as I may have mentioned on occasion here, a longtime, rabid, Philadelphia Eagles fan. (Don’t judge me.) Like everyone else on Earth, I like playing Angry Birds. Eagles plus Angry Birds plus the good folks in the Rovio marketing department equals this:
I am impressed that they depicted coach Andy Reid with his customary phlegm-expulsion and his press conference catchphrase, “time’s yours” (and don’t get me started on Andy Reid press conferences), although they translated his famous bulk into muscle, so it’s not exactly to scale. They’re not saying anything specific yet about an Eagles version of the game — the characters will be used in marketing for the team, but they did introduce a “Mighty Philadelphia Eagle” Angry Bird, so maybe there’ll be an Angry Birds Eagles edition in which Michael Vick (go ahead, boo) flings birds at pigs in Cowboys, Redskins, and Giants gear. Or maybe Shady McCoy can tuck a bird under his arm and run through the pigs. Make this happen. I need something to do while waiting for them to win a Super Bowl once and for all.
