I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

Aw, I guess that kid’s artwork wasn’t good enough to make the image? That 90s font and cityscape totally work, I guess.
Props to the kiddos doing quemments– I’m so totally not sure what to attempt to ask in Boston now.
I was there for the show and it totally rocked. Once again would like to thank the guys and Allison for signing stuff and taking pics with us fans!
Yeah I was at the show was kinda hoping to see the Matt/Jonah Blues Brothers piece. Hopefully Matt can put it up sometime.
Aww, man, where’s the Chris/Tardis and Blues Bros art?
@Ash: I still haven’t seen it! Would love to though!
I was at the Madison show and was glad to hear how you guys got to your next gig and that Matt was okay. Enjoy the show tonight in Michigan!
I actually wrote a whole series of horrible, horrible poems called This Is Not A Suicide Note! I think I’m up to number 400-something. You’re not alone, Matt Mira.
So did you decide that Matt was just too drunk at the Madison show to post that recording?
If Matt still need to pay his tolls, here’s the website
http://www.illinoistollway.com/tolls-and-i-pass/violations/pay-a-toll-violation
Illinoisans think the tollway sucks too – they just raised all the tolls 8000% at the beginning of the year.
So maybe that’s hypersbole, but still, it sucks. Goodbye very much.
Yea, I want to see that poster too. Sounds like a good one.
No tolls in Wisconsin. We just pay taxes, like responsible people. Glad Matt took up the local WI culture and drank to excess.
Between 0:10:00 and 0:11:00 there are several drop-outs where content seems to be missing/skipped. I downloaded it twice just to make sure, and thought it was odd no one else has mentioned it.
@JE Smith: not sure…could’ve just been the mics or the board at the venue. it’s always a bit of a crap shoot! we aren’t able to control the audio at these places.
Daddy! I was there and loved your show Master Hardwick!
IT WAS ME!! I DREW THE POSTER!
I also “broke a vase” in the bathroom, if you remember the tweetwall…
I handed it to Matt as he made his way backstage. At the risk of sounding like I’m making excuses for it before you’ve seen it, it looked better in black & white, at midnight the night before.
See it on twitter @ATsKillWompas
It’s a Star Wars pun… I’m not sorry.
Thank you guys again for a great show.
Oh! And I asked Alison Haislip out to C2E2, guaranteeing we’d make it because I don’t drink Starbucks… She didn’t go for it.
With any advance notice, she could’ve been “Rose”.
.
Chris…twas super awesome to, ever so briefly, meet you at C2E2.
Keep on rockin in a nerd world sir!!
Peace .n. “Baby dont you want to go, back to that same ole place, sweeet home chicago”
3Tof…on a mission from god.
PS: The Blues Brothers is, without a doubt, the greatest movie of all time.
I went to the show and met Chris at C2E2, and both were nerdgasmic experiences! Muchos gracias for an excellent time!
So… when are you guys going to have Trent Reznor on the podcast? This isn’t related to any episode in particular, but since I didn’t think about hearing him here until after he was on NPR talking about scoring Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which came after/from his work on The Social Network
best night yet this year! thank you so much nerdist! I’m working on the shirts now and plan to send them by monday! the 17-year-old (me) and the 15-Year-old (person next to me) ((in front row)) (((got mocked))) are now aquaintances and before were straners. so thank you nerdist for being awesome and aquiring for me a new aquaintance!!!
also i was the last quement and that autographed baseball you signed for me is going in a glass case
Enjoyed the show ever so much. My husband and I laughed so hard we were sore the next day. Excellent show.
Chris,
I assure you that I am alive and did not die of alcohol poisoning. Thanks for the great comedy in Chicago!
Joe
Also at the show, got drunk with my ma and then asked Jonah about drag queens… Overall a good night. Awesome Show
Loved the show, especially the “losing your virginity” stories. Kinda concerned you four were at a venue that seats 1,000 people AND serves alcohol but didn’t have security on site. Hope the next place is safer!
There needs to be a lovable drunk at every show.
Female Doctor: Been done. Look up “Curse of Fatal Death”. Purists can STFU now.
For the Podcast: What must be done to get John Barrowman on the podcast?
For the Channel: I love Celebrity Bowling. Please take on other big-name TV/film casts, in addition to other favorites like G4. (Oh, take on FPS Russia; I’d love to see him try to be in character while drinking and tossing balls down the lane.)
After listening to them talk in my head everyday for the past year, meeting the guys was awesome, because they really do treat their fans like friends. Already bought my tickets for San Diego! Thanks for being awesome.
@Joe: I am very glad to hear that you survived Booze-pocalypse! You’re a nice man and a warm hugger.
A movie that stands up in on my list is last action hero.
Parady and action one of Arnie’s best.
F-Yeah! Municipal Waste!
Amazing show! Thanks to Chris, Matt, Jonah, and Alison for all sticking around after the show! You guys are awesome.
LEO MURRAY!!!
This was such a fantastic night. And I love that I can relive it over and over and over again. Thanks for hitting up Chicago, guys, let’s do this again real soon, ya hear?
Amazing time
It is amazing and i wrote a paper about it so it’s even more amazing I can re-listen
I too had my fingers crossed that Barrowman might be on this podcast – I think he would be an awesome guest
