I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

Bobcat? Damn! This should be an interesting show. Looking forward to hear what he’s up to.
Stunning film from a great director. Just convinced my local Indie Theater to get the movie for May also. OK… I am on the Board of Directors, so I had an inside track in doing it.
I saw Bobcat open for Nirvana back in the day (Nirvana’s second to last show ever, I believe)…
He was obnoxious as hell and got booed off the stage (at the time, I wasn’t sophisticated enough to understand that this was the intended response).
.
Howdy Yon Nerdists!
3ToF reporting live from C2E2 in Chicago…the con has started off smashingly. There’s a sh@t-ton of CRAZYgood cosplay. Lots of friendly fellow geeks snappin pix, searchin for deals, and enjoying being amongst their bretherin. You know you’re going to have a good day when you are walking into a building and the first person you see is a picture perfect double for Samuel Jackson as Nick Fury. NERDVENGERS ASSEMBLE!
Highlight of the con for me was meeting Chris…well…lets be honest..i didnt so much meet him as shout “HI CHRIS!” at him as he was signing stuff for folks at the nerdist table and then I ran off to brag to my buds that i met him. By monday i’ll have embellished the story further to the point that i’ll tell coworkers i saved Chris from nearly being pecked to death by a rage-laden platypus. Chris is incredibly nice and engaging and sincere, spending time with fellow nerdist fans before heading to his pannel and then to the Vic for tonights podcast. The guy is a class act.
As for the con…one random question…have Easter Bunnies become some kind of con-meme? There were like 32 of them. Seriously. WTF? Are they the new Scary Clown? hrmmmm. Pretty f’d up.
2nd Highlight of the con…live sized Dalek at one of the Doctor Who merch booths. (Note to self..build life sized Dalek. Also..dont blink).
Peace .n. Cosplay 4 Eva.

I don’t know how you do it, but I swear that the podcast just keeps getting better and better! Even when it’s a name I don’t recognize (usually because I’m an ignorant punkass kid), I always listen, and it’s always fantastic!
Just saw the Bobcat special on t.v and could not stop laughing. The movie looks great and I can’t wait to see it.
Bobcat is so funny and has depth!!!! I remember loving him from Unhappily Ever After, childhood memories!
LOL Porn Flanders: Cum-a-ly Lum- a- ly
Yes Zuri! I remember that talking toy rabbit in the mind of a schizo father too. That was a great show
Really enjoyable! I can’t wait for another Bobcat episode. We watched the movie last night and loved it. Thank you.
This was an awesome show, and I listened to it twice because I was laughing so hard I missed some stuff!
Honestly, this was one of the better Nerdist podcasts and I didn’t think it was going to be that interesting.
Great, great podcast. If you ever get a chance, go see Bobcat live! His stand-up is fantastically good and he was very gracious when I approached him after the show. A++, would laugh hysterically again.
OMG! That was amazing! I was laughing OUT LOUD at the absurd things that this man is telling from his life. OMG! Jesus! You, Sirs, have poured smiles in my brains. Thank you.
Hate to say that “Ankle Biters” is already an actual movie.
Check out IMDB. Its from 2002 and if i remember correctly, its little people vampires????
Yes! I was so excited to listen to Bobcat – I think I’m going to have to re-listen to this one a few times. I hope you get to interview him again, I would love to hear more about him!
YES! More Tom Kenney!
Dead Alive is brilliant and it’s awesome that that movie is a Christmas tradition in the Goldthwait household.
I’m of that narrow demographic who knows Bobcat from Police Academy. Awesome show gang.
I finally got around to listening to the Nerdist podcast. Just wondering, is it always formatted like this? Like, no introductions? I felt a little disoriented because I didn’t know how many people were in the room, and who they were, aside from Mr. Goldthwait.
Apparently Mr. Thwait has seen this movie?
It actually has one shot with a zombie baby giving a girl a facial after a necrotic assault.
I disagree that money is what made everything better at the end of ‘Back to the Future’. It was George McFly’s confidence that made everything better. Money was just an added perk brought about by his confidence to stick to his writing and become a successful author.

ZOMBIE BABIES already exists and there are scenes of babies crawling up into a guy’s ass. Looks like Bobcat’s trying to steal some indie filmmaker’s movie right after having a long talk about artistic integrity.
That was so funny. I could have listened to it all night long!
Awesome episode! I really only know about Bobcat from Police Academy, so I didn’t know at all what to expect. Great episode, I laughed so hard listening to this. In front of other people!
The Nerdist Podcast has absolutely been on fire lately. Between this one, Morgan Spurlock, Tebacious D and Jim Gaffigan it has been pure sweet sweet goodness.
It would be awesome if you could have Savage Steve Holland on the podcast. Like Chris, Better off Dead (and to a lesser extent One Crazy Summer) really shaped a lot of my comedic tastes. I have also heard rumors that Cusak did not like the film which baffles me since I would put it up there with Say Anything or High Fidelity in his filmography.
This has to have been one of my favorite episodes so far. Great discussions guys, and Bobcat was fantastic.
Everyone listening should check out God Bless America,I really enjoyed it,one of the better films I’ve seen in awhile.Even the soundtrack was good. Hats of to Bobcat,a fine director, what a surprise.
This is in my top 3 favorite episodes. Bobcat’s stories are hilarious.
Late to the party. I just listened. Great episode, and GOD BLESS AMERICA was excellent. Bobcat is still funny as hell.
About the ZOMBIE BABIES movie mentioned above: It IS a thing, and it’s on DVD and on demand and stuff. It was mentioned in Entertainment Weekly. It is a super cheap production, but there’s a lot of overlap with the ideas mentioned for ANKLEBITERS. A sequel is in production right now.
Good day! Do you know if they make any plugins to akley australia assist with SEO? I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good results. If you know of any please share. Thank you!
