I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

I laughed so hard I am sweating!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I owe you each a punch in the face.
Every time I listen to one of your shows I think “God, this is my favorite episode so far.” (:
Thanks, Todd (and the crew) (and the guests), you always make my Friday that much better. Please don’t ever stop.
Oh god. James Adomian again! Downloading right now.
I love you Todd and friends!
Another great episode. Certainly one of the most consistent podcasts in terms of quality. Keep it up!
James’ impression of Todd sounds like half Rodney Dangerfield half the cowardly lion from Wizard of Oz.
ohh boy todd’s gonna hate you for this! you never post old sets!
My ears just dooked rainbows into my brain’s mouth.
Didn’t have internet for about a week while I moved. James Adomian on the TGS is the best housewarming gift I could have imagined! (No offense, Mom – the vacuum was awesome, too!)
I made a video-ization of James Adomian’s Cookie commercials:
This is the funniest single podcast I’ve ever heard.
Hey guys!
I’m listening right now to the Gentle on My Mind portion and going crazy not only because it’s hilarious, but also because I have the answers to your questions!
The song was written by John Hartford who was a riverboat captain on the Mississippi River and a bluegrass/folk musician. He claims to have based the song on Dr. Zhivago and on his own experiences. He also writes a lot of songs with strong rambling themes–a common one in the bluegrass and folk traditions.
Gentle on My Mind, with its heavy airplay and numerous covers, earned Hartford the money he needed to live the life he wanted, a point he is reputed to have made on a regular basis thereafter.
He’s a legend in bluegrass circles…everyone has a Hartford story from some festival or another. He is missed.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth from Bluegrass Country
Todd- Regarding the first segment, why not have Kumail Nanjiani’s wife Emily Gordon on, she’s a psychological therapist.
I will probably spend the rest of my workday making up fake verses to Gentle on My Mind.
This is one of the best episodes of the show. James Adomian is a great guest.
omigawd when are we getting another one? I’ve listened to this episode like five times, and I can’t wait any longer!!
Also, who draws those Avatars? I love them and want to keep my same one.
I think the avatars are generated from your e-mail address through code, at least that’s how it works with some gravatars. So as long as you use the same address it should stay the same.
I agree, they’re great!
Excellent episode, as always. Came here looking for the new Toddglast but I’ll give this one a 4th listen instead.
Hi Steve!
I will definitely be listening to this podcast YET again, especially since I’ve already gotten high in preparation for a new one. It’s cool. I’m playing it for my friend for his first time so it will be pretty cool anyway.
I desperately need to hear a Space Leykis bit. That’s way too good to just tease.
(said in the phone voice) Hello? I’m calling about the Todd Glass Show? Is it ever coming back? Is he just waiting on Paul F. Tompkins to do another show? Hello? (/phone voice)
Seriously, though. More shows, please.
Wow I’m going through Glass withdrawal. I desperately need to hear some jingles, including the Prince “KINNO” jingle, which somehow pops into my head every once in a while despite me not being Daniel Kinno.
I’ve listened to the last 2 minutes of the show about 12 times so far. so damned funny.
This is just what I need…something to make me laugh til I cry. LOVE IT. Thanks Todd & James!
Absolutely one of the funniest episodes yet. James Adomian is awesome.
James Adomian’s Sam Elliott cookie council ad was amazing. I want more unnecessary ads! Funniest TGS podcast so far this year, in my opinion.
I’m going to stuff you into a junkyard!
