I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

How long before it pops up on itunes?
Well, if you’re not going to refer to it as Cluster Yucks, I’m going to at every possible opportunity.
In fact I shall now refer to everyday occurrences as cluster yucks.
Cluster Yuks! There should be no question on this.
i’m having trouble downloading the podcast from the site. it gets so far into the d/l and says that it can;t be saved because the source file can’t be read. i’ve tried downloading it from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer, but it can’t complete the d/l either way. i don’t know if it’s a problem on your end or mine, i just thought i would let you know, just it case it was a problem on your end.
I got the Annabell Lee reference…
Dustin: shits! Try right clicking this link
@Chris Hardwick: that didn’t work either. =(
pictures, videos, and various computer programs download just fine. i even found Adam Carolla’s podcast and tried downloading one of his episodes to see if it would work, and it downloaded without a single problem. it just these that are giving me fits for some strange reason.
@Chris Hardwick: Mine downloaded immediately on itunes. I don’t think this comment helps at all. I forgot why I thought it was important to comment this…All well! Hope this gets figured out! Yay! It twas a great cluster of yuckity stand-up!
I really wish you guys did more of these Cluster Yuks than the singular yearly. Great stuff, except for that one guy who sucked.
I was at the show! It was a great time! Cluster Yucks 4tw!
I actually had to stop listening to this epp because I was on tell Redline in chicago crying because I was laughing so hard when Pete was talking about breast milk….. people were getting creeped out. Thanks guys
Good podcast. Matt did seem nervous though.
GOOD NEWS! I FINALLY GOT IT! i had to go through itunes to get it (which required me to download and install itunes itself since i’ve never used it before), but i got it! i’ve been a big fan of the podcast since the Kevin Pereira episode in May of last year. keep up the great work guys!
I also think it would be great if these could be more frequent than once a year, like, maybe once every four months or so, but I’m pretty sure you guys would be doing more frequently if you could. While I agree Matt did seem nervous, he’s only been doing this, what, half a year? I think it’s impressive he’s this good.
Yeah. Very funny. Matt’s pretty funny on the podcast as a sidekick, but its obvious that he has a lot of growing to do as a stand up. I look forward to listening to him hopefully get better eventually.

AIDS jokes, gay jokes and ass wiping jokes? Top notch, Nerdist.
I was fortunate enough to go see this live at Meltdown, although I was late and was standing the whole time, the special guest made up for it. Too bad the listeners won’t be able to hear it.
Last years stand up special introduced me to new comics who I’ve religiously followed over the course of 2011. This years is no different. I can’t thank you enough for introducing me to Hampton Yount and Diani & Devine. Can’t wait for the future nerdist podcasts of 2012, I never miss an episode.
I really enjoyed hearing some rough out of the box stand up comedy. Some of it was rough but far better than anything we get here in the mid-west-south-border-river region at our local comedy club. Thanks for the intro to some new stuff.
The Nerdist is rapidly becoming one of my favorite podcasts.
There is a brief music clip played during the intro to Pete Holmes’ set. What song is this? I know it’s popular, but I can’t quite place it.
Nevermind, I figured it out. It’s 15:51 by The Strokes. Thanks, Midomi.
I confess, I re-read “Annabelle Lee” after Adam’s bit, for while I did not get laid in high school, alas I also forgot the poem. And lo! Today while listening to Sarah Jarosz, suddenly there was her version! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pD9K_4BGc8
Poor Matt. His set wasn’t horrible (I actually thought it was pretty good), but he seemed nervous and not at all comfortable. It didn’t help that everyone else KILLED and his set was mediocre by comparison. Hampton rocked the MF’in HOUSE!
CLUSTER YUKS! Please… PLEASE call it Cluster Yuks. It’s such a fantastically outstanding name, riveting with sophistication.
Also it sounds like a BADDY WORD!
Great comedians!!!! Made me laugh a lot. Thanks for posting.
What a great show! I’d love to hear more from NerdMelt.
Sometimes, when Chris introduces people, he sounds like a Kermit the Frog/Oprah hybrid.
Cluster Yucks is without question what you should call it. Why was there any question?
You are all a bunch of cluster yucks.
Pete holmes is really funny, but there was a sarah silverman program episode about the neck stuff
Hampton Yount killed it, no big deal.
I don’t think it’s on our end, cause I am having the same problem. Please fix the link. I don’t use iTunes either. (And I really don’t want to have to install it.)
LOL Pete Holmes is so god damn funny. But everyone killed it! So great!
Great, Great , Great podcast! I laughed so hard I nearly peed.
GET THEE FUK OUTTA MY HOUSE MOTHERFUCKER- classic, classiiccc xx
Oh please call it Cluster Yucks. I love it! I love this podcast, it was great.
Chris: i listen to a shitton of comedy podcasts. I must say that the ComedianClusterYouShouldKnow episodes (last years and now this) are hands down one of the best single podcasts out there each year. Thanks dude for organizing and then sharing this with everyone. Keep up the great work and good luck with your own comedy special..i cant wait for 2012s new nerdist offerings!
MERRY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! 3ToF

cluster yucks for the win!
Mr. Hardwick, you sound like me when I drive but because I live in a small town I know almost everyone and behind so I can curse at them by name. Though I envy you right now for being about to go to a potterstore, they didn’t have one there while I was there.
Regardless of how you think Matt did, you could tell the crowd was behind him and wanted him to do well. So sweet. Nerdists unite!
Tried to listen while at work (which is right now), and I couldn’t! I keep laughing, and I can’t be bursting into laughter while sitting in my cubicle, in a fairly quiet office space. I’ll try to listen later at home, but it’s not going to happen right now! So success on the funny podcast, I didn’t even make it through the first comedian!
Silly vote that might actually be amusing: change the name every year. Last year was “Comedians You Should Know”, this year was “Stand-Up Cluster 2″, next year is “Cluster Yucks 3″, etc.
Or just pick a name and go with it. Cluster Yucks is as good as any. And I do have to admit to having an internal-10-year-old giggle every time I read/hear it…
I’m a huge fan of the podcast. Last year’s “Comedians You Should Know” was a great episode. But “Stand-Up Cluster 2″ was the worst episode you ever posted. These are professional stand-up comics, right? This was a Cluster Yuk, in deed. Also, Matt … you better make up with you dad, stories about Mr. Mira seem to be your entire act.
I loved Diani & Devine — hilarious stuff.
