Nerdists Assemble! The Nerdist TV Year In Review Special airs tonight on BBA America at 9/8. Along with myself, Jonah, Matt & Mike Phirman we welcome Wil Wheaton, Nathan Fillion, Simon Pegg and David Tennant. If ever there were to be a Nerd Pantheon, this would certainly have to be it.

Many people have asked me if Tennant will be on the podcast and the answer is YES! In just a few short hours, I will post the full, unedited audio from our chat on the TV show. Stay close to your Internet! A years-long dream has finally come true and will soon be spilling gently into your eager ears.

  5. David is one of our rare gems..thank you for airing this on Christmas Day! It made Christmas even better for my daughter and I. Hard to catch sight of him in America :)

    i just listened to the entire DT interview and I have to say, of all the DT interviews I have listened to. You by far were the best. I have heard so many over the years asking him the same things, over and over and he seems to get so annoyed at times. Not you, my friend! You were relaxed, funny, down to earth and oh so awesome with him, and it really seemed like he liked you a lot and was very comfortable w/ you. I too, am a huge DT fan. I have a huge lifesize standup of him, by a lifesized tardis. i think i have all his movies + doctor who dvds. Just got fright night. ( even thou i saw it in the theater on opening day.) I just love him, and your interview proves just how much of a great guy he is. I’m jealous of you, because i wish to meet him someday. Long live the tenth doctor!! Allons-y!!!

  7. I was a fan of David the actor who played the Doctor but now I am a fan of David the person. I really like Marvel and the incredible Hulk as well. Wow to Sheri above I forgot about Allons-y!!!! That and the Well followed by more wells , and of course the Timey Whiney wibley wobley are just cool funny phrases

  8. Loved the TV special and, as always, the podcast. I missed Chris when he came through Chicago last time so I’m hoping to afford to go to Nerdist at C2E2.

    And now I have to decided whether David Tennant is sexiest as the Doctor, shirtless in Fright Night, or scruffy and messy-haired in a Hulk shift here.

  9. Loved the interview with DT! Got the Tennant Years box set and Fright Night for Christmas. Saw FN in theatres and loved it so I’m glad I got it, at last, a remake with legs of its own! He *never* disappoints! Long Live Tenny!

  10. The interview with David Tennant was great~ he made the character of The Doctor come alive in so many different and glorious ways. I will never look at a pair of Converse All-Stars the same way. I was very sorry to have missed Much Ado- if it’s possible, I’d love to see a comedy series on the BBC- we could call it Tennant and Tate. :)

  13. Leslie- there’s a live recording of Much Ado available. Go to digitaltheatre.com, it’s excellent quality, filmed at one live performance, and costs something like $17 (I forget the original cost in £). Enjoy!
