Birds, David Tennant-Style
by Perry Michael Simon on December 30, 2011
You wanna see bird’s-eye-view shots of pelicans and flying rays at the Sea of Cortez, or snow geese flying past the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline, in some pretty spectacular nature video? Well, then, what if David Tennant was narrating it? Aha, thought so. Here you go:
Because nature documentaries are always just a little bit better when narrated by the Tenth Doctor.
These are clips from the BBC’s Earthflight, episode 1 of which aired last night on BBC One. It’s on iPlayer if you’re in the U.K. and missed it. Episodes 2 through 6 will be on Thursdays at 8p. No word on airings outside of the U.K. at this stage.

love the earthflight, clips, plus with david talking.
Listening to David Tennant narrate it, I could really get into watching birds fly… or grass grow… or whatever.
Flying fish (well rays) and David Tennant…Fantastic!
Is it wrong that I expected the geese to be sucked into Sullenberger’s jet engines?
I would listen to David Tennant narrarate paint drying.
I’ve bought all of the How to Train Your Dragon audiobooks in large part because of David Tennant’s narration. Seriously, his voice is liquid magic…but, you know, audible. Audible liquid magic.
Nature and Tennant… Perfect!!!
