I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

The third Jodei Foster film to finish the run with was, of course, Nell. A woman trapped by her lack of communication, and escapes through the power of love (and Huey Lewis).

Yeah I was surprised that no one hit on The Producers after Young Frankenstein was mentioned. I am glad it got some life in the comments here. Because it was the first one I thought of. And Phantom of the Opera would take to much back story. “So there’s this Opera House where everyone can smell this horrible disfigured shit, but you can never find the stall it was dropped in. And then it kidnaps the leading lady of the current opera and takes her down into the sewers, and…”
I am very confused as to how a few people on a podcast, talking about their personal experience with two computing platforms caused a few flame comments. John H. said something about how he was instantly attracted to the Mac because of how intuitive it was. That is the complete opposite of my personal experience. That doesn’t make either of us wrong, and it certainly does not upset me into boycotting his artistic output. People are so weird.
Wait…. John Hodgman’s Artistic Output would be a *great* euphemism…
Sweet Smell of Success.
Works as a movie *and* a musical!
Musical: Once Upon a Matress

As I file through back episodes, I’ll add my go-to poop movie:
A River Runs Through It
The feeling that everything is a joke, running prank, is called impostor syndrome and is very common among academics (and I’d wager individuals with higher intellect in general).
