Nerdist Week at BBCAmerica.com: It’s Time to Play the Music, It’s Time to Light the Lights
by Perry Michael Simon on September 20, 2011
We’re still counting down five important Nerdist Podcast episodes for the folks at BBC America’s Anglophenia blog (it’s Nerdist Week there!), and number two is one that Chris himself considers special, for a good reason: It’s the one on which he interviewed the Muppets.
The Muppets! Come ON! How could that NOT be special? Listening back — it was the thirteenth edition of the podcast — while it was an extended bit of sorts, understandable considering that he was interviewing characters, the interview still works really well, even if it’s not quite Inside the Actors’ Studio. And Chris isn’t James Lipton, which Fozzie readily points out. It was a great moment because, well, how often do you hear the Muppets interviewed as if they’re real… um… no, stop that, stop crying, they ARE real! Yes! I was just… you know… of COURSE they’re real! You can hear it for yourself!
Read the BBC America post here. And don’t forget — yes, I remembered the plug — to watch The Nerdist TV show on BBC America on Saturday, September 24th at 10 pm ET. Tell everyone you know to do the same. Exciting, it is.

I’m surprised there’s been no “Two and a half men” thread here yet discussing the episode.
Don’t give them any ideas!
I’m really curious as to how the Muppets podcast was recorded. Was there actual felt in the room with Chris? Or just a bunch of muppeteers doing voices?
Ohh yeah, is the BBCA letting you know through shrugs and winks that you need to tone the language down? :/ The Muppet episode being one of the cleanest episode.
I’m pretty sure that was chris doing all the voices, talking to himself.
