I enjoyed Alison’s personality and stories very much and – as I assume every other male listener (and some female probably) felt – she had me at the Animaniacs song.
It also makes me a bit sad though, I’ve never in my whole life met any girl that was into “nerd stuff”. They seem to be out there yet I only meet the ones that look at me funny when I talk about things I really like.
So it was enjoyable and a little sad both at once which is great. Thank you for putting it out there.
A small suggestion production-wise if you don’t mind. I’ve had a few issues with the leveling on the podcast recently. It’s irritating to me when the sound is a t a normal level most of the time and then get’s really silent or really loud.

Hey guys, I have been listening since your first episode and I just have to say I love you guys! I grew up always trying to be cool and popular, though I never really picked on Nerds I was always too afraid to admit that I was one. Your podcast has made me face reality and realize that i am indeed a Nerd. I am not ashamed to admit it and I will forever embrace it. Is this something you guys hear alot because nerd culture is so popular right now? If it is I’m sorry you had to hear that again. Thank you so much Chris Matt and Jonah you are all great and funny in a unique way that everyone should be privy to. Enjoy your burritos guys, I know i will.

My heart boner for Alison has just grown exponentially after listening to this podcast. As if it needed this aural form of Viagra…
And speaking of boner — that picture up at the top of this page. Egads… “Mr. Snuffleupagus” (all dudes name it, so why not have fun with it?) had just barely recovered from the “Attack of the Show” episode wherein we were treated to the bonus “gratuitous” shots of Ms. Haislip in a tiny blue bikini; and now this.
I don’t know if I should sue G4TV and Nerdist.com for contributing to penile trauma, or include them in my will; but I will say that it’s almost more than a mere mortal can handle.
In all seriousness, though, Alison is awesome. Sure, she’s uber-cute, but she’s tons of other nice adjectives, too. She’s good people, and this was a GREAT podcast.

Thank you for an unintentionally funny “nerd talking to girl moment” on Alison’s podcast. The bit where Chris was talking about women having orgasms on Game of Thrones and Alison cut in. “I’m not watching Game of Thrones.” Brought back memories that I hurriedly laughed away.
Even though I’m an Anglo living on the opposite side of Canada from Montreal (I’m in Calgary), I vigorously co-sign the restaurant recommendations from fellow listener in Montreal.
First, Au Pied du Cochon (English – Oh Pie-d dew Ko-shon) – if this was a Gap commercial, it would be “Everyone in foie gras.”
Second, La Banquise (English – bank-ease) – 24/7 poutine place. Order the poutine with chicken and fresh peas. Sounds weird, trust me.
Thanks for the Alison Haislip ep of Nerdist Pcast! I have a rediculous schoolboy crush on her now, which is embarassing as a nearly 40 yr old married guy! I didn’t know who she was until I watched reruns of American Ninja Warrior a few weeks ago. She is wonderful as an interviewer and commentator on that and I’m looking forward to more Slippy in the new season. Excellent interview guys! I’m sure there’ll be a lot more Team H in the mainstream media before too long.
I’m late to the party, but had to comment. Alison was super cool & it’s yet another reason I’m sad to not get G4. I also realize that I have to stop listening to you guys while at work. “McHammer”?!!?? And reciting the words to the Addams Family rap? I LOST MY SHIT. Uncontrollable giggles for 10 minutes. I had to turn it off and walk away for a while. So yeah thanks for making me look like a crazy person! Love, love, love you guys!
