Malibu Wild Wings
by Perry Michael Simon on May 23, 2011
Have you ever dreamed of living under an airplane? No? Me neither, but this woman in Malibu has a different idea of luxury:
She bought a retired 747 in the Mojave Desert for $30,000, had it taken apart and carted to Malibu (partially by helicopter, partially by truck with police escort), and assembled into her dream house. That’s 350 tons of scrap metal there. The wings make up the roofs of the main house and the guest house. It’s… different, no doubt about it. And expensive. But it’s what you can do if you’re wealthy and really, really into airplanes.

I want to go to there.
I hope she knows Shatner and invites him to her house so he can scream about something being on the wing.
No pic??
Good thing there are no more starving children in the World so that a lady can spend millions on this thing
Does having sex in that house still count as being in the mile-high club?
I sure hope they mounted those wings upside down. If not, and we have some serious Santa Ana’s she could theoretically lose the roof of her house.
Ken,
I would say yes, but only if the home is 1 mile above sea level.
