Catching Breakfast On the Fly

by on May 17, 2011

Here’s a lovely breakfast shot in HD by Burton Stroube Studios for food service marketing agency Marlin Network, showcasing just how good food can look and also how amazing HD is when that food goes flying:

You know, the first thing… okay, first, if you’re interested in how they got the food to go airborne and how they shot the thing, this behind-the-scenes video featuring the Phantom HD Gold shooting at 1000fps will help:

But, you know, if that food is edible, it seems like a waste of food for the sake of a cool slow-motion HD video. I’d rather they gave the food to a needy, hungry person and shot something else in slo-mo HD.  But that’s just old unartistic me.  Old, unartistic, hungry me.  How far is IHOP from here?
