Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...
I LOVE @osteoferocious! He interviewed @frenchmontana here: http://t.co/ZC0cDUucMv and then just made THIS: http://t.co/NUbYg26kZL #spreadit link

Just doesn’t excite me fellow nerdlings. Something’s missing, not sure what. I’m just not hooked.
(In excited Butt-head voice) YES! YES! YES! COOL!
Not uber stoked but I’ll still see it.
I personally think it looks great. I like how the trailer doesn’t show anything that’s just painfully over-the-top. It may be a more grounded super-hero flick. Regardless, I think I’ll enjoy it and I’ll definitely be seeing it (in 2D).
Getting that tingly feeling. In a good way, I hope.
I like that it’s a period piece, overall the trailer makes me sort of want to see the movie. However, there is one shot of Cappy coming through a door with a pistol in hand and that struck me as wrong. Probably end up Netflixing it.
Oh wow! And I was afraid they’d screw it up.
My wee wee is saluting the us of a
Joss Whedon took a pass through the script. It kind of sounds like it.
The female lead in this should do a Kathrine Hepburn imitation, ala Jennifer Jason Leigh in Hudsucker Proxy. It’s pure gold I tells ya!
He’s a soldier at war they use guns get over it. He used guns in the comics all the time when he was in WWII.

I agree with sybarite… The scene with cap shooting a gun just took away every little bit of excitement I had for the movie… I’ll still see it but that broke my heart a little.
Aside from the odd “ChrisEvansgiantheadonsmallbody” moments, I think this looks pretty damn cool. Perhaps Joe Johnston has finally found a project that will bring out his true directing talents. “The Wolfman” was a sad failure.
Can’t wait to hate me some Nazis!
I wasn’t much interested in this flick until I saw this trailer. The lead-up for the first, pre-costume bit was okay, but once he got suited up it was gold.
As for the gun issue – yeah, that’s what he did in WWII. He stopped carrying when he was unthawed in modern times, but he was an American soldier at war, so he carried a gun. In the current continuity, Steve Rogers retired as Cap and his former partner Bucky took up the role – and he carries and uses guns.
I don’t really care for it but I’ll watch it out of comic book dork loyalty.
I just think it looks very boring.
As a former Marvel (now Disney) stockholder, I fully endorse this movie. I’m not sure I’m a real big Chris Evans fan, though. I will definitely see it it, and will very probably enjoy it.
It’s a allright trailer. Better than the teaser.
I still have a hard time not laughing at the cropped weeny little bobblehead Chris Evans though.
My thoughts:
Do-do-do, Tommy Lee Jones as Gen. Tommy Lee Jones, pretty cool. Decent fx work on scrawny Evans. Not bad, I wanna go see….wait, is that Stanley Tucci?! Cool. Good action, oh, look, there’s Agent Smi…is that the reveal?! Hell’s to the yeah, I’m there!
def pumped, im torn cuz while evens is fun its hard to take him seriously, hope they do a F4 cross over oh wait..
The Schmidt’s Gay sunglasses removal from Mr. Stark is a bit distracting.
The preview for the video looks like a robot fondling a skinny kid… I love this movie!
LMFAO @D’s “Schmidt’s Gay” reference!!!!!
Trailer looks like the movie will have its ups and downs.
I’m confused as to why when they inject him the lights dim????
Also, why didn’t they just use a different person for the small captain? If he’s a super soldier wouldn’t his facial features change also? All they did was narrow his jaw line to make him look skinnier.
Finally, if he’s gonna use a gun, at least make it something bigger than a pistol! He’s Mr Red White and Blue! Give him a BAR or something huge he could wield like a pistol! Not a actual pistol!
Would anyone else find it funny, if after they injected him with the super soldier juice he came out with a mustache, mullet, and heavy southern accent?
Weeelll, I’m not leaping in lust but my nerdom dictates that I have to see it. Looks better than Fantastic 4 though. And when’s DC gonna make The Flash or Birds of Prey already?
That’s right, shoot directly at the shield with no protection. I’m sure those bullets will never deflect off it at hit a scientist in the temple.
My nerd heart just exploded.
