Nerdist Podcast (And More) At SXSW

by on February 17, 2011

The Nerdist Podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, Scott Aukerman’s Comedy Death-Ray podcast, and Doug Benson’s Doug Loves Movies – all live, all in one place.

Got your attention, huh?

That’s the Comedy Podcast Series lineup for SXSW in Austin this year. Four of the best comedy podcasts on four consecutive evenings — Benson on March 12th, Aukerman on March 13th, That Hardwick Boy on March 14th, and Maron on March 15th.

And that’s just a part of this year’s SXSW comedy lineup. There’ll be a Nerd Comedy show, “Talk Nerdy to Me,” featuring Mr. Chris Hardwick along with Benson, Tom Lennon, and Eugene Mirman. “John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show” will celebrate another season on Comedy Central with a live showcase including Pete Holmes, Al Madrigal, Kumail Nanjiani, and Brendon Walsh. “Comedy Death-Ray” will venture away from the UCB in Hollywood for an Austin show with Aukerman, Michael Ian Black, Dave Foley, Brett Gelman, and Howard Kremer, who might be a little familiar with Austin. And Marc Maron, Anthony Jeselnik, Matt Bearden, and Ben Kronberg will be in another show, “Dark, Bitter, and Sweet.”

If you’re hanging on for the music portion of SXSW, you’ll have a chance to see “The Benson Interruption” on March 18th and 19th, and comedy showcases later each night, too. Besides the folks listed above, Donald Glover, Tig Notaro, and a lot more are going to be there, so, um, go, if you can.
