‘The Walking Dead.’ Comic-Con Trailer. w00t!
by Nicole Campos on August 24, 2010
So far I haven’t really subjected you all to my own personal stash of FLAIL! regarding Frank Darabont’s AMC adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comics series, but as the fall season is nearly upon us that’s going to change. Starting here – finally, a quality version of the AMAZING trailer they debuted at Comic-Con is online:
Begin nerdgasmic anticipation (if you hadn’t already) right about….NOW. (I will freely admit that I got so verklempt watching this trailer at the con that I cried a bit. Well, and it’s easier to admit to now since I already told The Walking Deadcast and they outed me – hi, Jason!) The 90-min. premiere of The Walking Dead airs on Halloween (heeeee!) – Sunday, 10/31 at 10 p.m.
Tune in next time for a small grip of most-anticipated fall TV premieres – some new, some returning – of which clearly, this is pretty high up the list.

It’s going to be amaz-za-zing!
Maybe you can get a hat too!!!
HOLY SHIT THIS SHOW WILL BE AMAZING!!!
shoulda brought a change of underwear to work today… shit.
This looks amazing. It seemed great as a comic, but MY GOD LOOK AT HOW FANTASTIC THAT LOOKS!!!!!!!!!!
There is no way to describe what I just saw other than the word “nerdgasm”. AMC Original Series and zombies. Nerd. Gasm.
Thank you. This made my year.
OMFG! (Not Olivia munn’s) I SOOOOO want to be dead when I’m walking!
Seriously, this show is going to rip the decaying heads off of every other show near it’s time slot. It’s going to be so good that even shows an hour before it will cower and shame-pee themselves!
Wow! I jumped in my chair a couple of times. This is gonna be very cool!
Holy F@ckin shit thats awesome!!!!
I’m in!
This is fucking awesome. Two concerns:
1) people unfamiliar with the books might think this is a 28 Days Later rip off.
2) won’t the target audience be out partying Halloween night?
Nerdrection.
KICK ASS!!!!!. I want to see it so bad right now. its going to be great. but please dont eat my brain. I need it to be come a zombie my self o wait I already am.
Holy mother of… This is going to be a great fall!
This looks so amazing. Can AMC do no wrong? The only disappointing thing is that I wont be watching it when it debuts as I will be partying my ass off. Rest assured, though, I will be recording it for my viewing pleasure the following hang-over shrouded day…
You must be in my brain, I literally just read the graphic novel after I heard about the AMC show. I’m so excited for the show but the graphic
novel is so violent how are they going to translate that to a cable show? You briefly touched on that in ur podcast a while back but I was still left wondering
I have just decided that Creative over at AMC shits rainbows, bunnies and unicorns, because honestly… their original programming can pretty much do no wrong.
Yeah I’ve seen every episode of Mad Men. I started watching Rubicon and i’m really liking it. I haven’t got a chance to check out Breaking Bad but I will get to it eventually. AMC FTW!
Anyone feel like starting a campaign to make Re: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton the theme song?
This the pick me up I needed!
Those Zombies were sprawling.
That looked like Jim Carey as a zombie. I hope that’s not too long of a cameo and just a couple shots they did for fun.
I can’t wait! Just another amazing story to add to my Zombocalypse survival library!
Waaah, I cant see trailer. Country blocked.
This is so amazing. I am so excited for this, like a little kid on Christmas.
I’m so excited about this I can taste it and it tastes like human meat.
I know the zombie girl! Does this increase my nerd cred?
Awesome. Nothing else to say. Awesome.
I’ve never been this excited about a show. Well except for Louis CK, but this is taking the cake!!! I pee a little when I watch this trailer.
Finally, I can apply the knowledge I gained on the Node thread about zombie survival.
Holy shit that show looks fucking sick. I loved the trailer and when i watch the 90min premier im gonna blow my load all over my tv i will have to go get a new one
Hi Nicole
I was pretty transfixed by that trailer too, especially on that big screen with all the actors there and hundreds of awestruck fans. It was just amazingly perfect. Can’t wait ’til Halloween!
Wow!! My pant’s are all messy now. Michael motherfucking Rooker means its gotta be good.
