Biggest Rainbow Fan on Earth
by Chris Hardwick on July 6, 2010
When this video was explained to me earlier I didn’t think it sounded particularly funny. Now that I have seen it, I think it may be one of the funniest videos ever. I laugh uncontrollably whenever I hear him say the word “rainbow.” Actually, he pronounces more like “rayne-poe”. The best part is, you never see the guy. But that makes it no less hysterical that you are witnessing “a moment.”
As to his pleas for what it means? It means that the moisture in the air is reflecting and refracting light two times. Still, this sterile explanation will not impede my resolve to start referring to anything awesome as a “DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!”

After showing this to my colleague…
Colleague: Having lived through the 70′s, I can tell you that guy is stoned – they felt that way about a lot of things back then.
Me: Like the back of their hand?
Colleague: Yes.
This guy must be on some kind of a drug…. xD
That was a little creepy. He sounded like he was ” special”.
I’m pretty sure that guy came in the middle of that video…
Single Rainbow – The Saga Begins (a.k.a The Prequel)

I saw one of those once. I said “hey, cool” and then I kept driving. Maybe I needed more drugs?
This is how unicorns mate.
Why does it surprise me that this guy obviously hasn’t been committed yet?
Shit, this guy is high!
This guy probably is father to twins and when they were born just said “cool honey.”
Mushrooms or LSD, but most likely mushrooms. There is no other explaination for this. In either case, I love it!
those noises your hearing aren’t for the rainbow there for the girl he’s cheating on with his wife
His soulmate: Crazy Sprinkler Lady: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1825469
That guy could never live in Florida. During our rainy season, we see rainbows all the time. Some dumb redneck would beat him up!
What does it mean?
It means some people can still appreciate nature’s wonders.
It means some people are not jaded to the point of ostracizing someone for feeling overwhelmed by the moment, of something beautiful.
I feel sad for those that can’t felt the joy and happiness he experienced.
It means that that they’ve lost touch with what it is that makes life worth living.
I know it’s cool to be all snarky these days but I agree rjbudz. It’s refreshing to see someone enjoy a quirk of nature. How is that a bad thing? Okay, maybe he pours it on a little thick, but it is a frickin’ double rainbow.
The people who insulted this guy probably cry when there cell phone breaks or there computer shuts down. So the guy had a moment appreciating something beautiful in nature. Most of you probably sit around and jerk off to episodes of the Hills. Souless fucking sheep.
Honestly this guy was probably on shrooms…
This guy is about to cum.
Is it weird that I had the same reaction after watching the finale of Lost?
I was working as a housekeeper in North Conway, NH in 1985, in a hotel that faced Cathederal Mountain. I witnessed 5 triple rainbows, people say it only happens there once maybe only every 100 years. Every grown-up I saw had tears in their eyes, it was so beautiful, Even a Crown Prince who happened to be there. I the guy in this video was struck by the light, because he mentioned how bright it was, if you watch it again look at how everything on the ground under the rainbow is golden! Sometimes you just have to have been there to appreciate the experiance!
Okay, Holier-Than-Thou folks, I agree that not enough people truly appreciate beauty in nature these days.
However, there’s appreciating beauty, and there’s this guy. I’d suggest getting off your soapboxes before you fall and hurt yourselves.
This guy better not be a pilot!! First of all, this is NOT a complete rainbow. A complete rainbow is 360 degrees and can ONLY be seen when you are flying. I used to hang glide, above the clouds, at Makapuu, Waimanalo Hawaii and dive down through the centre of the ” Glory.” “Glory” is the name for a perfect 360 degree rainbow. The next time you are flying in a commercial jet, hope that the sun is shining from the other side of the airplane, as you begin your decent into the clouds, preparing for landing. Look for the shadow of the airplane, on top of the clouds, and around it, you will see a “Glory”, a perfect 360 degree rainbow. Maybe then you will realize the beauty of nature, to the MAX!!
