I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

dude!! no freaking way! pretty epic
\m/ Ozzy! Crazy awesome! Luv you, Oz!
@ the pic up top: the guy on the left is into it but the guy on the right is just experimenting.
I loved the part where Ozzy talked about listening to The Beatles, and he watches Dr. Who! I don’t know why, but that is just fascinating to me.
Love that he watches Dr. Who. That proves coolitude, in my mind.
Ozzy is a legend. I’m not even into his music but I dig who he is and what he has to say.
My favorite part was when Chris pointed out his heavy metal shirt. Ozzy could not disguise his polite, one-note courtesy “ha”. Classic.
Outstanding, young Hardwick!
I’m about to listen to it, but I’m wandering if there will be a translator or subtitles….
I know it’s kinda hacky to make jokes about Ozzy’s pronounciation of certain things, but when in response to when Chris tells him what a Digg is, Ozzy responds with ‘How many people make 1 gig?’…after laughing for about 2 minutes, I came up with the answer: 1024 MegaPeople.
I love when Chris gets excited about talking about Doctor Who!
It sounded like eventually, at about 39 minutes in, Chris just gives in and starts calling the diggs, “gigs”. Ha!
Epic. All hail @nerdist, who can even bring the prince of darkness to talk about Doctor Who.
Chris looks like a Muppet in this picture. Love it.
@Paul, you’re right. Specifically, this one:

Hey Chris,
I couldn’t help but notice a SLIGHT lack of diversity in the people who are guests on your fantastic Podcast…
Is this because you’re actively racist due to your southern upbringing in a bowling alley, or is it just the casual racism that every white person carries with them…
or is it the extreme likelihood that you haven’t been able to schedule anyone other than a wide assortment of slightly different shades of white (save but the Muppets of course) folk.
Thank you for your time Mr. Hardwick,
Brian Earl esq.
(p.s. Keep up the great work… here’s to hoping I get another season of the infinity-more-funny-than-Tosh.0 greatness that is Web Soup)
Really great interview. Ozzy’s not at all what I expected.
Laughed when you asked about Doctor Who, I saw it coming
Need to get a hold of Tennant or Matt Smith for a special podcast :p
You do say “amazing”…….a lot….It’s like you’re a Chatty Cathy doll programed to say only that one word.
It’s OK that you say “amazing” a lot. All great artists go through phases. Hendrix went through his hat phase. Clapton went through a country infatuation. It happens.
Hey Chris,
Paul’s on tour go see him in San Francisco and you may see Steve Jobs there
Just listened to Ozzy. I’m not a fan of Sabbath, or the Ozzy solo stuff… but bless him, he’s just incredible. The guy’s survived so much and lived to tell the tale. Good interview, Hardwick. Thanks.
Dude that was amazing. You just had the most real interview with Ozzy I’ve ever heard. You got to geek out with him about Twilight Zone and Dr. Who, and you literally joked about not wanting to fuck Joan Rivers…………. with Ozzy!!!!!!!!!!!!
There’s no download/play link on the mobile version of your website on an android phone.
(Listening to the back catalogue)
Joke I thought of from the intro:
“Chris, would you like to interview Ozzy?”
“Osbourne?!”
“No, the ghost of Ozzy Nelson.”
I crack me up.
