I’m your nerd host, Chris Hardwick
Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...

Best live podcast yet! I really liked Craig Ferguson; he was so fucking funny! I hope in the future I’ll be able to go to a live show. ^_^
Hey I been there before : D Dunka Shang
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! that was the most amazing hilarious thing i have ever got to experience…NERD EXCITEMENT AGGHH! i’m still walking on cloud nine after listening to it a day ago
I love how all the comments above prove that you can still receive feedback on the net without trolling. This is an awesome show with an awesome audience.
Chris and Craig are my favorite hosts! This was so much fun, thanks!
I think this is possibly the best nerdist podcast to date… I am a little sorry that the live ones aren’t filmed, because they would be PHENOMENAL watching.
(and I listened to Rodeohead and DAMN, it’s awesome.)
That podcast was sprawling.
I was seriously considering flying out from Chicago to see this show and after just listening to this piece of fucking greatness, I really wish I’d chosen nerdist over food and shelter. sigh…
Suggestion: “Super Awesome Fun Time Nerdist Tour Extravaganza!”. Including stops to Chicago, City #2, City #3, and the other ones…
It’d be the bee’s knees mother fucker, it’d be the motherfucking bees to the knees. word…….
This is the first Nerdist Podcast I’ve listened to, but it certainly won’t be the last! Brilliantly funny and entertaining. Thank you all.
Five guests! Live music! Craigy Ferg! Star Wars! Callbacks! Good sirs, you are putting all my favorite podcasts to shame. And I hope Sara Watkins gets her shot on the Late Late Show soon. I’m jealous of your live audience. To be fair, I did get to see Nickel Creek at Bonnaroo in 2006.
The podcast was great! I laughed my ass off! They keep getting better and better. Thanks guys!
When are you gonna do the most epic podcast ever with Rob Zombie, Weird Al, Alison Brie, and Craig Ferguson together! FTW
funniest episode to date chris. great job. sarah watkins was wonderful. craig was on fire. he’s judging you chris….
Awesome show.
I’ve been looking forwad to this one for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Thanks Chris!
(btw, I heard and loved Rodeohead a long time ago and only recently put 2 and 2 together – to get 5 of course).
Great show, loved it.
Best podcast yet, had me cracking up… and i just checked Adam REALLY did register http://www.dwarfshankredemption.com. But most of all thanks for introducing me to Sara Watkins, I’m not usually one for folky music but her voice is so amazing that I had to buy her cd. (ok dont want to lose my nerd cred, i bought it via amazon mp3 download) Keep up the good work.
Ha…Dalek dick.
“Don’t date a timelord” might be one of the best lines I’ve heard in a while. Thank you for your amazing podcasts. I subscribe to a number of other ‘casts and in a very short time you have been able to create the most entertaining podcast that I have ever found. My buddies and I have been doing one for almost a while and get how hard these are to produce on a technical level and in terms on content.
“space birds”!!!
I’ve enjoyed every podcast episode so far, but this one — THIS ONE!!!! — well, this podcast was simply a thing of beauty…
Just wondering when the next podcast is coming. I’ve listened to #22 three times already lol!
I love the Flintstones/Jetsons theory. So funny!
I tried the Rodeohead link and it wasn’t working. Anywhere else I can get it?
No, Chris:
The Jetsons and the Flintstones are living simultaneously.
The Jetsons’ civilization floats 4 miles above the surface of the earth, above where the Flintstones’ civilization eeks out a meager existence.
So fucking funny.. Amazing show.
You mentioned the cat tattoo over the guys belly button. I think I can one-up that:

Awesome Podcast!
Was also blown away by Sara Watkins… what an amazing voice and a musician(coming from someone who doesnt normally like country/bluegrass, thats saying alot!)
That was a pretty hilarious experience. Please have Enrique Iglesias on a podcast soon. He is amazing.
That podcast was the awesomest thing I have heard in a long time! And thanks for having Sara Watkins on the show, such a talent.
I can’t believe he played anamanaguchi in the opening. about had a nerdgasm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7bIMrNjMk8
RE: Carrying around Atari 2600 games
I’m a little younger than you Chris, so I grew up with the original NES games and had to repress my urge to carry Zelda II and SMB3 with me to school, kudos to you for actually doing it!
Also, I moved out to LA from New England and it truly did not feel like home until I brought my Harry Potter and LOTR books out there with me. Same thing when I moved out to Boston 7 months ago… I’m actually rather proud that I still have these nerd natural instincts, though I camouflage myself to exist in non-nerd society…
Side Note: Hardly anyone I met in LA had read HP or LOTR, wtf!
By far and away my favorite episode!
Just listened to this episode of the podcast and it was literally laugh out loud! Thanks for having Sara Watkins on as well. I hadn’t heard of her music (solo or with Nickel Creek) but I so heart her voice – angelic!
“Darth Vader Went Down To Georgia”…Hard and Phirm, make it happen 8)
Great podcast! I love Craig he is so funny! Hands down my favorite talk show host, since Carson! I can’t get enough of his accent either! This whole podcast BLEW MY FUCKING MIND! lmao!
is it wrong that as a 17 year old girl I am utterly in love with Craig Ferguson…anyhow….
Amazing show! It was absolutely hilarious (especially the sponsor break) and I was sprawling on the floor laughing!
Don’t ever stop! (L)
2 hours of hilariousness and awesomeness! you guys did it again! when i first heard about the podcasts a couple months ago, i went through and picked out a few to listen to and this was one of the ones i skipped over. but i decided to come back and listen to it after Craig was on Jay Leno last night (July 13th), best decision of the day! keep up the awesome work guys!
Thanks for a great podcast all around, but this one in particular? My dentist had to stop in the middle of scraping my gums to the bone, because I was laughing too much for her to continue.
This episode has a little bit of everything, it’s wonderful. “Do ye want to write for me show?”
