Video Epicization on Web Soup
by Chris Hardwick on April 30, 2010
This is how it usually happens.
Nerdist was started by Chris Hardwick and has grown to be a many headed beast.

Nerdist is a place where we nerds come together and share the nerdery that we find. It's also my home to various elements of the Nerdist Empire. You might recognize me from TV. You don't realize that's where you know me from, but it is. You think you went to college with me or I look like your cousin's friend, but that is not the case. At one time or another you stumbled upon me on your moving picture box in such cerebral gems as MTV's "Singled Out" and Noam Chomsky's "Shipmates." and so much more...
Drove 2 hours to go to your show last night in Bloomington, IN. It was EPIC.
Side Note: You were talking about Cracker Barrel, and I can total relate on how fucked up that place is. The one time I went I got french toast and it was made with sourdough bread, WTF. It was horrible.
Joshua is gonna be pissed.
How odd. An epic video about making a video epic. Very… meta.
I fear the terrifying power that would result if the already epic Whizzer Hardwick-as-host video were ever brought to the Epicization Silo. It would be like crossing the beams in Ghostbusters.
war games, sweet.
I am in fact wearing a “the only winning move is not to play” shirt from thinkgeek.
Epic-ization?
check.
Most unexpected War Games reference ever made?
ALSO check.
bravo, good sirs.
Damn it, I really needa watch more television.
That’s weird — “Web Soup Control” is speed dial number [6-2-OffThePhone-9-1] on MY phone, too.
Thanks for posting that clip here. Made my morning! <3 you!
Why is it that G4 is owned by Comcast, yet “Web Soup” is not available through Comcast On Demand?
I demand it, damnit! I’m busy on Wednesday nights!
Where did this set come from? It looks way too nice for G4′s budget.
