Nerdist Street Team: SEATTLE

by on March 23, 2010

Do you like experiments? I DO. They tend to yield wisdom and, if you’re lucky, an affirmative result to your postulate.

Something that always happens to me is that after I’ve performed in a city, I’ll get tweets or emails from people saying, “When are you coming to [INSERT CITY I WAS JUST IN]?”

I’m not convinced that traditional advertising portals operate with 100 or even 10% efficacy. That has led me to this: I want to form a street team for my show in Seattle on April 10th. The street team would be provided with flyers and would band together to spread the word about this show in clever ways. This is just as much about community-building and loading up the room with friendly, like-minded peeps. Kind of like a massive tweet-up.

Willing Nerdists will receive tix to the show as well as limited edition Nerdist swag and a special post-show hang out. Interested humans should email [email protected] with the subject line “Me! Pick ME!”

I look forward to your involvement. If you’re bored the next couple of weeks and feel like meeting folks while building a thing, then THIS IS YOUR CALLING. It would be arrogant of me to say that this show will be the greatest comedy show in this history of entertainment, but definitely in the last 100 or so years.

Excelsior!
